Agree. Plus he had already been KFTO 2x. Manny as an ATG talk did not start circulating until about about 2008-09 when he was already close to 30.

The battle of the once beatens geez, I don't know based off the scalps Sanchez claimed at the top before his tragic death Danny Lopez x 2, LaPorte, Nelson, Gomez (yes I know he was just moving up from 22 and his best days were just behind him) I'd have to say Sanchez takes a competitive decision from Loma in what would have to be thrilling to watch over 15 rounds.

thats what i see. one of the few guys that can punch at the same pace or better than loma over 12 rds, more power, incredible chin, relentless pressure, 2.5" reach advantage. just too much for loma to overcome.

i would have to go with my boy alexis, if he caught loma like linares did, lomas not getting up. it took an atg jr welter to beat him. loma has a good chance of winning if he can make it to the end, i think he would take many of the early rds, but eventually the accuracy and power of el flaco would end up slowing him enough to catch him.

I know Loma is in my av, but believe me when I say Arguello is my boy as well. I feel once Alexis got that right slinging full steam it would only take a couple/few flush imo to stop Vasyl around the 10th or 11th round.

aha, alexis has the power to literally knock the wind out of you if he hits you squarely on the chest, and he has little to fear from counters outside of embarrassment. loma will get touched...a lot.

To be honest, Loma gets touched quite often, I just watched his fight with Gamalier Rodriguez today. Rodriguez won the first, and though he got routed 2-9 he never stopped landing the straight right & his left hook. 2 punches you do not want Alexis Arguello to land on you frequently.

its inevitable with his style, its too aggressive to not get caught occasionally. but if he fights less aggressive his offensive numbers will drop and his overwhelming style will disappear. thats why i think mikey is too much for him, that much power thrown around with that much skill will break loma.

It's definitely a scenario within reason, though in that matchup I still have to favor Lomachenko. Arguello I'm all but sure would be too much and stop him mid to late, but I don't hold Mikey in the type of esteem I do Alexis or Salvador. Only time will tell really.

it would literally shock me if loma beat mikey. and thats not a knock on loma, i think hes top 3 p4p, but i think mikey has atg potential. i know that sounds fanboyish cause his resume doesnt reflect that, but this is strictly from an analysis of effectiveness in the ring, and all attributes both direct and indirect.

Let's see after Loma career conclude.
It shows how highly regarded he is to be compared with genuine ATG in Sanchez and Arguello.
