I’ve said this before but I don’t actually think Khan’s chin is terrible it’s pretty average (it’s nowhere near golovkin or froch obviously) but look at who he’s been knocked out by they were all big punchers. I think the problem is less his chin and more that he just has terrible defence, drops he hands far too low which I think is mainly to do with his hand speed, over the years lots of “fast” boxers do the same but there head speed usually matches their hands and it doesn’t in khans case. That’s why he has been dropped by boxers who don’t have particularly big punches.
I agree with this. He does get wobbled by silly punches too, but in general they have been great shots that stopped him. Prescott might not have been a top top fighter, but them shots he caught Kahn with were heavy and perfectly landed. Garcias a good puncher too, with bad defence he will land heavy shots and he did..6.5/10 chin department, Froch and Golovkins are pure granite. How Froch got up from Groves right hand whilst still warming in to it i'll never know
It's true he does have poor defence and concentration, but aside from his KO losses he has been knocked down numerous times by guys who were feather fisted to say the least. Two of the most feather fisted are: Limmond has 40 wins, 12 KOs, Khan was in BAD trouble. Drilzane has 15 wins, 1 KO, Khan was not badly hurt. Even guys like Garcia have good power but are hardly monsters. I can't think of many fighters that have a chin as bad as Khan but are otherwise world level. Gotta give his chin a 1/10.
Yes, most of my mates find them hilarious too but a lot of people just don't get their humour or just find it too silly. Such a shame those scumbags at the BBC cancelled Shooting Stars as it was still really funny and popular. You should check out Vic & Bob's Afternoon Delights on YT if you haven't seen them. As with a lot of their stuff they're a bit hit and miss, and even by their standards they're silly. However, there's moments of genuine hilarity there so they're definitely worth checking out.
