People saying he's the next star and all that, but what is Floyd Mayweather's Protege's Weaknesses? I reckon his footwork is a bit slow
I really want to see him in there with a good counter puncher who can move and see how he deals with it. I think that might trouble him.
Reach isn't exceptional, and I think someone like Crawford could bother him with is jab. I can't help but think that it's going to be someone who can fight at the perimeter very well. Medium and short range present problems when facing him. At these distances, he has good defensive discipline, balance, combination punching and adaptability. I think his mental game is very strong as well. He's adaptable and has some mental strength. Look how relaxed he is with that pot head smile when he enters a fight, even on enemy territory. He doesn't get rattled much once the fight starts and seems to box with this smooth confidence that he'll get his man one way or another. It won't be easy, but there were welters I thought were closer to invincible than he is and they ended up losing. Problem is, there aren't too many guys right now at 147 I'd pick over him or to even stand a chance. Short list.
Spence's composure is definitely very impressive. When Brook was ripping him w/ hard counters, his expression never changed. @ pothead smile (so true)
when he punches, he lets the hand that stays home stray too far away from his body, opens him up to counters. he needs to barrel up when he shoots an arm out. he also doesnt move diagonally very well. these 2 things will give him problems vs good counter punchers with good footwork.

He is invulnerable to any weapon, save for a small spot on the back of his heel where his mother the nymph Thetis held his infant foot as she bathed him in the sacred waters of the river Styx. Oh wait, that's Achilles.
