I keep hearing GGG gonna make all these huge adjustments Its obvious he knows 1 way of fighting, that come forward put pressure type fight Thats why to me Canelo is the guy who will make adjustments & win most rounds much clearer this time... GGG was scared to goto body cause he didn't want to be countered... He didn't do a very good job of countering...
This will be the replica of the first fight unless Canelo changes his tactics, if Canelo decides to slug it out or stay in the centre of the ring Golovkin will go to the body more and will KO Canelo, if Canelo decides to get on his bike, Golovkin will win the decision, can't see him KOing Canelo if Cinnamon is on his back foot, if he decided to go to war like he has been advertising and you keep eating his lies, he will be knocked out cold. Golovkin was in bad shape even month before the fight, this time he looks in tip top condition and he is geniunely pissed off and a pissed off GGG is the last person you wanna share the ring with.
He can go to the body more and crack that little ginger toad's ribs, not load up so much with big overhand swings that miss by a mile and leave himself open to counters, feint more and throw little disguise shots that create openings for his bombs, and try not to be so tense and nervous (which was uncharacteristic for him) as he was for the first fight and the first 3-4 or rounds, which is something I picked up on straight away and so did numerous others. Golovkin needs to use good footwork and cutoff the ring while applying a consistent attack of both head and body. Sadly he's used to fighting euro level opposition and doesn't know how against a world level opponent . ..
Go to the body more and have a better start to the fight are two things that immediately come to mind. It's Canelo who needs to do things differently. Don't act like he didn't miss widely with some counters in the first fight, or get tired, or try to make it look like he was picking and choosing when he fought, and getting backed up to the ropes.
Canelo's conditioning is what allowed GGG to outwork him. Outside of that Canelo clearly has the skill and talent to beat Golovkin clearly. Canelo and his team acknowledged his conditioning was a factor after the fight. Golovkin on the other hand, DESPITE having a tired Canelo could only land jabs, most which did not have a lot of pop behind them. Golovkin on the other hand needs to take more risks when he has Canelo against the ropes. He needs to not be afraid of throwing to the body. He needs to really open up and impose himself on Canelo. He wants Mexican style, then he needs to do what Chavez Sr did against Taylor. Take three to land one, and I'm not talking about landing those weak ass jabs, he needs to land hooks and straights to head and body and not be aa hesitant as he was in the first fight.
This. He threw away the first two rounds out of nervousness. He didn’t settle down until the fourth round.
"Euro Level opposition"..... Is that the same continent that has more World Champions than the Americas? Since winning the WBA regular title only 4 of 22 fights have been against Europeans. "Sadly he's used to fighting Americas level opposition and doesn't know how against a world level opponent" would actually be the correct way to make the point you're trying to imply.
He has fought the best ranked opponents you pathetic bum. What is Euro level? You do know this isn’t the 90’s anymore right?
“Best ranked opponents “ doesn’t mean much when the division is lacking in quality fighters. It’s not a knock on Golovkin as he can only showcase so much skill against inferior opposition. What were his biggest wins other than Jacob’s? I was actually a big fan of Golovkins on his march to the top. Then it hit me one day, his reign is no different than Hopkins. Just keeping all the lackluster talent in check hoping someone comes along to solidify his reasoning for milking his title reign instead of facing bigger challenges in the division above.
Any evidence that these middleweights Golovkin fought would have lost to the middleweights from the early 2000’s to 90’s? NO. Lemieux, Murray ( who beat Martinez) Canelo, Jacobs, Brook, Vanes ( never been knocked out) are all quality wins. The rest are decent. Also what is this BS about Euro bums? The super middle division is weak.
