Two individuals with less than stellar jaws, both possess some decent power, definitely power that can rattle the other individual.

Who is more vulnerable in this matchup to take a nap on the canvas?

We've seen both men knocked unconscious this decade, Khan by Canelo and Pacquiao by Marquez. Incidentally, both Mexican fighters.

They both need to look into chin fortification via IV fluids.

If Pac is packing glass then why come Floyd roided to the gills could not wobble him let alone knock him out?

Was it perhaps the coming together of a man with an alleged glass jaw (in your opinion) against a man with glass baby hands?

    1. Pacquiao was the only one on juice
    2. He was almost knocked out by Floyd
    3. Floyd kicked his butt
    4. Has nothing to do with this thread? This is AMIR VS PED!

Come on. There's no comparing the glass of Khan with Pacquiao's sufficiently average punch resistance, nor the veritable warship cannons that are both of Pac's fists with Khan's modest bb guns.

While neither possesses an iron chin, Pacquiao actually has a reasonable defense, whilst Khan apparently has no defense to speak of (this was glaringly obvious in his recent bout with Vargas.) In addition to this, Pacquiao also appears to possess a far higher ring IQ than Khan who is visibly lacking in this department also and therefore, for these reasons as well as others, Khan is patently the more vulnerable of the two in my mind.

This thread is NOT to disparage either fighter, I'm simply stating fact here and I'm pretty sure everyone wants to know who is more vulnerable here!

Pacquiao has taken more flush shots in his career by big punchers than most fighters combined today. That on top of fighting guys naturally larger than him for over a decade means that Pacquiaos chin is very underrated.

Interesting. No one's been able to wobble Pac or drop him (outside of JMM's steroids-infused WMD right hands) in like over a decade. He's taking flush shots from dudes with above good to above average power — Mosley, Margarito, Rios, JMM, Floyd, Vargas, Matthysse.

Seriously. Khan is the gold standard when it comes to glass jaws. A stiff breeze would put him on the canvas. Pac's chin seems to have deteriorated with age, but has never seemed even close to as fragile as Khan's.

I don't think a former Flyweight champion who walks through Miguel Cotto has a "sufficiently average chin".

Like Max Kellerman says over and over "if that's not one of the two or three most impressive things in boxing history, show me another Flyweight who has done it". And to be honest Kellerman is typically partial stylistically to a more purist technical boxer than Manny Pacquiao is. He never really had a dog in the fight when it came to Pacquiao. And yet still he says this.
