At 126 Manny was too green to beat Sanchez.

He'd light Manny up, a beating worse than Morales gave him

To be honest Morales beats Sanchez. EM is one of the all time greats and was the best mid range fighter of his era. He's longer and faster than Sanchez. Boxes him and wins a UD solidly. Prime Morales at 126 was an incredible fighter.

And Manny I think beats Sanchez badly and may have even stopped him. Pacquiao's feet are far too fast. And to be honest Pacquiao is a greater fighter and better fighter. He's beaten and fought a higher quality of opposition. Let's be frank here Pacquiao stops Cowdell easy. And he stops Nelson within 6 or 7 rounds.

Sanchez struggled against Cowdell. He fought him to a split decision that was awfully close on the cards.

Sanchez was a great fighter, but would be overwhelmed by the speed of Pacquiao's feet and hands. His workrate and physicality would take over.

Man that's where he was most dominant as a fighter.

Sanchez sometimes struggled with guys who liked to fight off the back foot (Ford and Cowdell) but against guys who came forward, he excelled. Sanchez might have some issues with Pac's southpaw style, but I'd take his straight right over any of the Three Amigos each day of the week and twice on Saturday, and that's the best punch to use against southpaws.

Plus, it's tough to pick against someone who tended to surge so dramatically in the second portion of most contests.

This is the like first JMM fight...without the first round KD's. Sanchez UD.

Interesting post, you're right Pacquiao stylistically is vulnerable to a big straight right hand. And Sanchez is vulnerable to guys who box and move. I think for example Morales comfortably outboxes Sanchez IMO...

But I have yet to hear anybody address Pacquiao's superior opposition. Not that Sanchez was fighting cans because he didn't. But Pac has the clear edge in experience and performance against higher class opposition.

    Really?

Pac's stay at the weight was actually quite brief and his tenure at 126 consists of his career defining mutilation of MAB, the draw against JMM and his evisceration of Rakkiatgym. He met a past peak EM north of the weight so I'm hesitant to group him with Pac's featherweight CV since I don't know for sure how a younger EM fares against Pac at 126 in three separate fights.

But, even if I do include him and assume that same set of results at featherweight, I wouldn't be at all certain if that would be superior to Chava's victories over 122 GOAT Bazooka Gomez, a pre-prime but still dangerous Nelson, all time featherweight flame-thrower Danny Lopez (x2), along with solid contenders like Ford, Castillo, LaPorte, and Cowdell. That's a pretty serious collection of talent and by and large Sanchez performed very well against them.

Ultra past peak Morales took Danny Garcia and Marcos Maidana into deep waters.

Hardly. The Manny who lost to Morales also loses to Sanchez.

Pac lost to Morales at 130. He carried a lot more power at 126 compared to 130.

I believe that Morales beats Sanchez comfortably. So if were are going to say Sanchez beats Pac because EM beat Pac I think that's a flawed argument. Not that you yourself made it. But the fact is Pac, EM, MAB and maybe Marquez would be Sanchezs best win if he had beat them. And
Not to mention Pac blew through Cotto who likely stops Sanchez. If Pac can take Cotto power hes not getting stopped bu Sanchez.

I think Pacs speed and southpaw style overwhelms him.

Like I said Sanchez resume is solid. But pac ran up against stiffer competition and beat them too.
