    From the source :

''I have just received notice from the boxing control board of Victoria that the Oceanic Middleweight Pacific Title held on July 17 in Melbourne has been declared a no contest due to the fact that after an independent judge from America declared that fouls committed by Soliman were not acted upon by the referee and that two clear knockdowns in the 10th round were also not declared as knockdowns and therefore Tej was at a major disadvantage to judgement. As a result the board has deemed the bout a “no contest”.
This mean Tej is still the Oceanic Champion and his loss record goes back to 4.
I would like to thank the Boxing Control Board headed by Simone Bailey for their diligence and integrity they have applied to this inquiry in coming to a just and fair result for Tej.
Please keep your comments positive for Tej’s sake and HAPPY DAYS.

Well done the judge from the US for standing up for fair practice.

I swear to God Australian boxing is the actual WORST

It's only because it doesn't get that much coverage that it gets away with it but it really is the wild west there

In recent years we have seen obvious dives, robberies of the worst kind, knockdowns being totally ignored, fouling being ignored, hell, even changing a 12 round fight to a 10 rounder DURING THE FIGHT when the hometown favourite was gassing.

    It's comical

Way to go unspecified independent judge! Should happen more often in boxing.
Clear referee "errors" (usually in favor of the feautured/home fighter) that clearly influence the scoring, should be acted upon. Just think back at Mares vs Agbeko and Browne vs Kaladjzic, in which the referee's "incompetence" turned the fight over.

Thank god, not only did Soliman not win this fight in the slightest, he also should’ve been deducted numerous points for the bull**** he was pulling. Hopefully this forces him to retire

I must admit I haven't really followed this story but I'll make a few observations (albeit without having seen the fight).

Firstly, I don't really see how it's a black mark on Australian boxing if there was some incompetent/biased officiating & the sanctioning body in the state of Victoria did something about it (presumably by referring it for independent review).

Not sure why it needed to be referred to the US. Both fighters are based in Melbourne. So it's not like the visiting fighter got screwed.

I've never heard of the "Oceanic Middleweight Pacific Title".

Tej fights for the Australian Middleweight title next start. Hopefully he gets a fair shake & wins the title.

The fight will presumably be presided over by Victorian officials appointed by the same people who appointed the officials for the Soliman fight.

Indeed. I think it's a thumbs up for them in this case.

Unless I'm missing some facts. Which could be the case b/c I haven't followed the story.

I do recall Juppity being outraged by this on the Stifler's Mum thread a while ago so the officiating must have been bad.

I recall seeing Sakio Bika fight Sam Soliman in Melbourne many years ago. I thought Sakio won it clear but they gave it to Sam. Sakio was based in Sydney though. Tej is based in Melbourne so it doesn't make any sense to screw him.

The uncounted kd's. The throws were in retaliation to Soliman's, although Singh had points deducted, where Soliman didnt apparently

Mundine green 2 was a absolute shambles. Either mundine should have been dsq'd or green should of been stopped. Either way for the fighters safety, even a official doctor walked out from ringside.
And then a bad decision at the end.

After watching the footage posted, I'm not inclined to be critical of the ref.

I think most officials would struggle to make any sense of what occurred there.

Not sure if it was a boxing match, a wrestling contest (most likely) or a game of Australian Rules football (without the ball).

Maybe that's why the footage was sent to America. So the WWE could review it.
