LOL after the first fight Hoppy still thinks Canelo will "spank" GGG? Please. At best he wins a points decision that we'll be disputing for years afterwards. I think he sees his record giving a salute before plunging off the plank ...

Because he's tired of delusional GGG fans saying that GGG is greater than him and would beat any version of him.

Because a clean fighter is breaking his mw records and it is killing him.

It's obvious why he's bitter and it's because Golovkin is only one win away from beating his record of title defenses. Bhop has always been a little delusional and has a hard time swallowing his pride. Dude needs to humble himself.

He is one of the promoters right? Probably hyping the fight.. When he talks about fighting he is so smart. He knows the ins and outs of fighting and puts it so well.

I thought that was the obvious answer. He is still part of GBP, isn't he?

Bingo. Hops isn't about to let anything personal get in the way of business. He's just doing his job.

I didn't know if he was until I saw him at the Canelo/GGG press conference today.. I wish GGG were fighting a Marvin Hagler or Thomas Hearns on Saturday. That would test him. I think Hagler takes him out in the mid rounds.. GGG wouldn't know what to do with a Hagler southpaw switching and underrated power.

People keep referring that this fight is going to be like Ward vs Kovalev 2 but....

GGG “the OG” is no Kovalev!

Well, I think Hagler would beat GGG as well, but all we can ask of any champion in any era, is to consistently face the biggest challenges in his era, and by and large, I believe GGG has largely done that (or at least tried to). And Canelo proved last time that he belongs, and he has sought out the tough challenges as well (not withstanding his stunts at "Canloweight", where even prior to that, he was facing top challenges on a consistent basis).
