Hard call after last fight would not be surprised @ a draw again.

gotta be a little slower than his prime of 30-35 when he acheived his best career win of beating number 1 contender Jacobs, plus titlist Lemmy. not much slower though , 3G is smart enough to have crescendoed his career so that the tough fights came last and didnt yield much mileage on him.

I don't think he's declined markedly. He's still good enough to take Canelo to pleasure town.. I know he's fired up too! He told me, I met him behind Macy's & he has huge hands!

GGG breathes HARD in between rounds. Even after just the first or second.

    I'm picking Canelo to win.

Can you add a poll to this thread? It would be interesting to see how many people pick Canelo or GGG to win.

I have no idea, too many imponderables. I'll admit, not a great contribution to the thread but it's all I got...

GGG might be getting on a bit, but that doesn't happen overnight. If Canelo couldn't get to him significantly last time, I don't believe he deteriorated so much further to the point he'll lose big this time. Might be another close call with the decision going either way, or a KO by GGG. I don't see a KO by Canelo

I´m not sure GGG has deteriorated that much. I´m thinking about the missing bodyshots. Had he won with a bodyshot against Jacobs he wouldn´t had met Canelo. Had he won by a bodyshot against Canelo he would have risked the rematch and all these millions. Now I´m seeing forward to a lot of bodyshots...

He has not had tough fights like Hagler had. Hagler was hit hard by Hearns and rocked, hit hard by Mugabi in a fight he was not realy in shape and rusty.. Marvin had tough fights on him and hard hits. I think Canelo hit GGG and so did Jacobs a little, but not big time.

I think GGG wears Canelo down and gets the ko in the 9th. Canelo clearly looks smaller. With a year off i think he`ll be a little rusty and i think his stamina issue is going to play into the fight.

GGG on wide points, Canelo will run and try and survive as he's not on PEDs. If you don't care about winning you can survive 12.

Canelo gets half a point for every 1/3 mile he runs.

I haven't had tough fights like Hagler either, but I can tell you that I'm slower today than 6 years ago.

I don't know if at this stage it would affect him. one year, and remember he had a fight in the interim so he is not rusty and Canelo is. He might jump on Canelo early figuring he might be a little rusty.

I’m not sure I get your point.

I don’t need Sanchez to tell me that his reflexes are not as sharp and movements as fluid and efficient as before. It’s all there, on tape, easy to see if you know what you’re looking at.
