He went in straight with his head after already having a nasty cut, I don’t know if it’s 100% a quitjob or he just bashed his head forward in hopes of getting lucky

The headbutt was his fault and the fight was starting to go in Madiev's direction, he was staring to get lit up, it would have been all downhill from there, he saw the opportunity to get out of there with a W and took it.

Pretty shitty way for it to end, I didn't get to see it so I was surprised by the outcome. Weak ass **** celebrating a win like that by Cano.

I don't know how anyone can hold that against Cano, he was clearly stunned by the initial head clash and that cut was literally spraying blood off the face of Cano. They don't come much worse than that, in fact it's been a while since I've seen a cut that bad in boxing period. Maybe the head clash that stopped Mansour's fight before last?

Dude thought they were going to give the fight to Madiev by TKO, which would have been BS. Celebrating the fact that you get a decision that you deserved on the cards (and I think he did by taking taking 1, 3 and 4) when you were staring at a BS stoppage loss is pretty justified, imo.

Not to me, he charged in with his head causing that cut. With his paper thin skin I have a hard time believing it wasn't intentional.

Its just the looks of it, its fair what happened, the decision was just, but the fact that he caused the headbutt and he was starting to fall apart, and then celebrated like that afterward, you know.. might rub some people the wrong way.

Don't think I've ever seen anyone purposefully headbutt themselves out of a fight by accidentally picking up a cut that bad. If he was trying to go about effectively headbutting Madiev he did a terrible job of it, and I don't buy that second that someone as experienced as Cano doesn't know how to lead with his head if he wants to... he's been a pro since he was a teenager.

Madiev was also leaning in; and the two heads had made contact previously. Just the way they meshed in terms of styles. A rematch is in order, but it was the right decision.

He was responsible for the headbutt, was it intentional? Maybe, maybe not, sometimes headbutt don't cause cuts and just concuss opponents. Maybe that's what Cano was hoping for. Regardless, he lucked out tonight, he was on his way out, got the win, and celebrated like an idiot.
