Sho Kimura Vs Kosei Tanaka - What's the interest in a live stream?

Hi everyone, I have been tasked in finding out what the potential market would be like for those wanting to watch the WBO Flyweight title fight between Kimura and Tanaka would be.

It would be an OFFICAL and LIVE stream without COMMENTARY.

Given it will be live, the airtime would be 15:57 local time (which is 7:57 in the UK) on a Monday there is NO flexibility at all in that and it would run for ~1 hour. There is no guaranteed ability to show it on any delay either.

I've been in touch with the official broadcaster for the fight, CBC in Japan, and they offered a live stream of the fight. We have need to try and gauge whether it will be a success for them and our selves to run, as they are curious as to what sort of a viewership it can get from Europe and North America.

It should be noted that this is a huge coup for us as the fight won't be shown live in the major Japanese markets, only the Chubu region, meaning that the usual Japanese streaming websites WILL NOT have it.

If there is interest here we will, closer to the time, share the link to our stream of the fight. If there is no interest here we won't. We're hoping to get a few hundred people watching, which given the time of the broadcast would be a genuine success in my eyes.

If it is a success we can go back to CBC and ask for other streams in the future, and even try to approach other Japanese broadcasters with the numbers for example.
