GGG's willingness to get hit and use constant pressure gives people that impression that he's not skilled but I feel like GGG's boxing skills are still really overlooked. People like to keep thinking that he's this face first, come forward plodder with no boxing IQ (even though he's had an extensive amateur background) when really he's a skilled, calculating boxer-puncher like Joe Louis.
Would it shock you if GGG actually breaks down Canelo using technical skills? Wouldn't really surprise me.

Nah not at all. He has a world class jab, in fact it wouldn't surprise me if it forms a much bigger part of his strategy this time.

He`d win Olympic gold easily now, even though it`s tough trying to win a fight in only three rounds.

Golokvin has mads skills, and people tend to overlook them. The dude used to be a pretty big counter puncher too.

I agree, but I'm wondering when that old age virus that hits every fighter occurs, when you see the opening and can't pull the trigger. As long as an opponent comes at you to fight it never rears it's head, but when you have to look to time a guy, or chase him it does.

No I would not be surprised if someone with a reported 345-5 amateur record,a World Championship gold medal, and an Olympic silver medal, had the skills to out-box someone with no amateur career..

Who here said that Golovkin is a one dimensional plodder with no skills? The man has never been outboxed, ever.
