    i think you are spot on. pissing Lemieux off is a dangerous move……..just ask mr. stevens. billing this as a fight between 2 Punchers is misleading. spike may have heavy Hands, but he is not a one Punch guy. he wears you down. Lemieux is not just a one Punch guy. ever since he was a prospect Lemieux has shown the type of creepy power that really turned my head. even GGG didnt want to stand in front of this guy.

    there is only one real Puncher in this fight……..and it aint spike.

    It is crazy that boxing 'hardcores' can get caught up in emotions and hype around a narrative or a feeling or simple xenophobia .....

    What ever you think of Lemieux he has operated at decent/world level for a long time...there is no shame on being just below World level...

    Spike has done the square route of feck all except quit when he stepped up to Eubank level ffs....

    Its a no brainer

    Yes absolutely. Spike has stupidly given lemieux the one thing DL has lacked in recent years... Motivation! Stevens did it too. Spike would have been better off saying nothing and letting David sleep on him. I think spike has panicked, last his nerve and hasn't got the temprement for the big time. I just hope he doesent get hurt.

    Lemuix on the slide recently and Spike taking his career serious last year or two with some good wins.

    Think Spike wins this by late stoppage. Lemuix has been hurt before and I have genuinley never seen Spike even wobbled. He has never been dropped and was pulled out by his corner versus Eubank as he had a burst ear drum and was well down on the cards contrary to peoples opinion on here.

    Hes come a long way working as a sheet metal fabircator on building sites working with a few mates of mine to co-headling one of the biggest fights of the year in Vegas.

    Spike’s purse is $400k. Mental. If he wins he is going to make millions against Canelo next. Pretty impressive stuff from his team to get him into this position after the Eubank defeat.

    Agreed. Lemieux has said some distasteful things too. Spike always shows humility and respect afterwards though, so I’m sure win or lose he will do that after the fight.

    Lemieux only responding to endless provocation from spike. David had never done this before. Spikes a disgrace. Childish bravado. He seems to be after losing his nerve. Really rattled. He could freeze and get iced early at this rate.
