    GGG has titles and his win streak record, therefore beating Canelo will be a defining moment for him to be one of the greats.

    Canelo's has majority of Mexican fans rooting for him, if he wins the accusations against him may be completely forgotten and still relatively young at 28 and a long career ahead.

    Canelo showed his level against Trout/Lara.

    Well that matters, but Canelo literally surrendered and gave his belt to his mandatory challenger. Only to then fight him years later after he aged.

    The duck of prime GGG defines his legacy.

    GGG literally surrendered his belt too. I guess we'll have to wait to see if he fights SD somewhere down the road.

    He surrendered his belt to fight a tougher man in Canelo. Canelo surrendered his belt to fight Glass jaw bums and wait for GGG to age.

    You forgot a distinction too. Canelo actually gave his belt to Golovkin. The title GGG vacated is just that its vacated.

    He didn't just hand over his belt to another fighter.
