Yeah but Postol looked awful after Crawford and almost beat Taylor. Taylor is a hypejob as of now. He needs to redeem himself. He was suppose to dismantle this old and more shot version of Postol who had no momentum. Taylor fans were making threads about how he was going to beat Postol more clearly than Crawford because they were so confident. Postol was there for the taking, Taylor didn't live up to expectations. You can't tell me anyone who hypes Taylor up expected or was pleased by his performance.

The Postol fight ticked a lot more boxes for Taylor in his progress. We got to see how dealt with being in a very hard fight where he was up against it. He really stepped it up in the championship rounds, showed his stamina and heart and scored the knockdown in those rounds which (if the scorecards had been fair) won him the fight. He passed a very tough test and he'll have learned loads from that and it will only be a benefit to his experience.

We don't yet know how Prograis would handle being in the same situation.

Sure. It's possible he gets better than this. But we can't ignore the fact that he was way overhyped and let's be honest with the hype Taylor was getting and how shot Postol was, Postol was being set up to get destroyed. I think the odds were like 22/1 for a Postol win. I'm not even a Taylor hyper but I expected him to destroy this version of Postol who had no momentum at all. He looked bad in his previous 2 fights.

I don't think Postol was as shot as most thought before the fight, myself included. He got schooled by Crawford, then looked bad in his next fight. Does that have to mean he's shot? Maybe he just had an off night against Najmiddinov. Maybe he couldn't get motivated right for that fight after coming off a big unification fight against the best name in the division. He certainly didn't look shot against Taylor anyway that's for sure. I'd like to see Postol get another good fight to see how he looks. Going by his performance against Taylor I'd say he's still a relevant name in the division.

Curious to hear why you can’t stand Prograis.
