Just want to post a tidbit of a post i made yesterday since I always respect your scoring IntentionalButt:

If its a 8-4 scenario to Golovkin not counting people completely blinded for whatever reason the scores will be something like: 115-113 114-114 115-113 for Cleanelo

Yeah, that’s why it was a razor thin decision

Since this comes technically one day shy of a full year since their draw, this has to be called the most bitterly (all the more bitterly if you scored both fights his way) unsuccessful year of Golovkin's boxing career since 2005, when he suffered his last two defeats in the amateurs (to Eduard Gutknecht and Mohamed Hikal)

Not that my opinion matters, but I have no horse in this race. I thought GGG won the first fight and Canelo the second fight. I'm down for a 3rd, hope it's a little less than a year from now though.

Really close fight. I had it 114-114

You can’t defend the robbery on this one

116-113 Canelo. Last round even. GGG landed 2 big shots, but faded.

This is some serious blatant 211 in progress.

no i didnt Canelo was landing jabs, did you ignore Canelos body work and head shots. I mean in the threat people were giving clear canelo rounds to ggg

Can't stand kellerman talking about the story of the fight. The story is contrived bs, canelo started very well but lost the second half of the fight and was hurt more cynically.

Very close fight. Canelo controlled the pace and style of the fight for the first 2/3 of the bout and landed some big shots alongside some excellent body work. GGG came back well late in the fight with some hard blows and determined work. I was thinking a draw was likely. Very good fight.

GGG landed the better shots and more. He did not win the 12th round. There were a few other rounds early that could have gone either way, like the 5th for example.

    Disagree completely tbh mate.

That was an amazing fight to watch, credit to Canelo and Golovkin for putting on a high level slugfest such as that.

Kellerman rightly gave Canelo credit and rightly said how close it was and he'd love to see another.

Just because I had it 8-4 Golovkin doesn't mean this is a robbery. The sport is subjective and a close fight was reflected on the scorecards. I'm not gonna complain about it, I'm just gonna enjoy the fact I watched a great fight and hope that I get to see it again.
