If Canelo didn't even show up, literally, and stayed home, I bet the scores would be 116-112 across the board for Canelo. Whats really frustrating is that now history records it as a draw/win for Canelo in the series, like he's the better fighter. What a joke.
I got a similar scorecard to the judges, basically is you start the fight with GGG -4 rounds as the judges do, you get a similar result.
There isn't anything GGG could do to get a decision over Canelo. Canelo is the younger and more marketable fighter. GGG's only chance was a stoppage, but Canelo has a good chin and good defense, so GGG wasn't able to Manage it.
I dont understand the OP..... one judge gave it a draw- ridiculous...... Canelo won by 2-3rd just like GGG won the first fight by the same margin. Overall after 24rd I have it still a draw
Which basically means boxing is a joke. Your 100% right on the details...But If Tom Brady makes it to the SB this year and the score is 20-17 patriots, they better give the win to the other team. CLose decision and Brady isnt as marketable as he once was.
Even in a vacuum i would've had GGG winning a closer(er) fight. But the fact that this is TWICE now that majority of the people watching had GGG winning relatively clearly, something is amiss.
This must be a 'sliders' situation. Your from the parallel universe where GGG didn't clearly win the fight.
Real shame of it is he did have Canelo hurt more than once. that one point would've been the difference
If GGG had decapitated Canelo with an uppercut, the night would still somehow end with the ref raising the hand of Alvarez' headless corpse. Just face it, boxing is done, and nothing will change unless we vote with our feet, and stop paying extortionate amounts of money to watch fixed fights.
