Do these kinds of robberies really hurt boxing? Anyone nearing the end?

Even if you are on the Canelo side, you have to admit you are outnumbered. Most people (again) thought GGG solidly won. At least easily in the sense that it wasnt hard to see that he won.

Do you think this will ever really kill boxing? Every time we see people say they are done, boxing is dead, etc. I myself have quit watching boxing and swore never to come back about 50 times. But now that a lot of my favorite fighters have retired, it's getting too frustrating to keep this crap up. Bradley/Pac, GGG/Canelo 1 & 2, etc. Anyone actually thinking about cutting boxing out? Not sure yet myself.

Outnumbered on here. Scene scored it a draw. It's not a robbery. C'mon man. Robbery is a clear 8-4, 9-3 type decision.

I linked an article. I dont know what the comments said. Making the point that i simply googled 'ggg robbery' and got many results. Very few people think Canelo deserved the win. The poll on the site from the forum is about 70% for GGG. If you can't see that most people thought GGG won...well I have Volcano insurance to sell you.

If you look at things financially, money talks. GGG is finished so give him the victory means nothing for HBO and Vegas and Golden Boys. Canelo still has a good 3-4 plus years to go and is the PPV star. If you just analyze from that perspective then it makes sense.

unfortunately , that seems to be the only logical conclusion from this huge mess. What a shame. Boxing has always had crap like this. I just keep thinking one day it won't be so ridiculous. Don't i feel stupid

Boxing is like life its unfair and it sucks at times

GGG won both fights, everyone knows he won both fights. But he got a massive pay day out of it in the process, despite now having a draw and loss on his record.

So GGG is still a winner here- his bank account is swole now. I see he has a wife and kid and more sure to follow, so it really matters that he is financially secure.

With the greatest of respect, and i've said this multiple times, the fans, especially in the US, are almost too....I dunno....Patriotic? To address their issues.

A lot of Americans on here go on about "British Stoppages" and "You can't win a decision in Germany".

Well i'm sorry, but GGG v Canelo 1+2 and Kovalev v Ward 1+2 (Although I actually had no issues with how Ward won the second), demonstrate that the US is no better than anywhere in the world.

Kovalev v Ward 1, built as fight of the year, ended in huge controversy.
GGG v Canelo 1, built as fight of the year, ended in huge controversy.

Then you've somehow got justification for holding Mayweather v Mcgregor......
Yet can't make the potential 'Fight of the generation' in Mayweather v Pac until it's pretty much a foregone conclusion.

Charlos/Spence/Other Haymon fighters being paid to literally not fight.....

The corruption and controversy we have in this sport, all around the world, comes from these deep roots within the US section of the sport.

Is it any surprise other nations are too becoming corrupt to compete?

GGG has showed twice now, that Corruption trumps everything.

Man i woulda loved to see him keep his 0 tho. I know its kind of a dumb credit to have (i usually think if someones undefeated its because they ducked or fought cowardly), but GGG didnt lose. ANd if he'd have gotten the victories he deserved, he coulda retired undefeated and been up there with Marciano as undefeated fighters who actually fought hard. so rare

Epic levels of delusion here from GGG stans. Canelo won that fight comfortably.
