Like c'mon it's pretty much obvious that's the next fight. The winner of Lemieux/Sullivan fight was made a final WBA eliminator at last minute for a reason. Obvious set up as next opponent. Canelo vs Lemieux would be an easy fight to make. Both with Golden Boy. Both In-house. Lemieux looked sensational with a 1st round KO and would be a common opponent. Like Canelo, he fought GGG also. Plus, Canelo/Lemieux would be a fun fight to watch stylistically and definitely much more winnable for Canelo. Probably the fight is gonna happen in December since Canelo was reported to wanting to fight at that time. Thoughts?
Yeah I think that's the next fight for Canelo and Lemieux. It'll be a fairly easy win for Canelo IMO. But wouldn't grudge him an easier fight after just taking on the most dangerous opponent possible twice.
Lemieux 2.0 has the power to crack Clenelos chin. But probably he would get outboxed like he was vs BJS
Very likely yes. 2 GB guys and Lemmy is very outboxable by Canelo. Only thing, I think Lemmy has even more one punch power than GGG and if he laid ginger out cold I'd pay a million bucks to see Oscar de la Spatula's face at that very moment. Not likely, but still.
Easy fight to make and potential great night for Canelo. Lemieux gets exposed anytime he fights someone with world class boxing skills.
This is definitely the next fight. In the advertisement for the $85 PPV, Oscar will show highlights of Lemieux’s KOs of The Cerebral Assassin and Bill The Butcher. GGG will never again fight Canelo, unless he concedes every item up for negotiation: gloves, location, weight, drug testing, ring size, judges, ref, etc.
