Ok you have 20 ringside judges, 5 on each side of the ring. You have another 30 judges in a private room, each with their own soundproof booth with access to more camera angles of the fight than you know what to do with

that's 50 judges. Generated randomly by computer AFTER the fight and not knowing ever, 25 judges (10 ringside and 15 in the room) have their scores not used at all

That leave 25 active judges scores. Out of these, for every single round, a random number is generated between 5 and 10. This is the number of scores for that round which the high and low and thrown out. E.g. if 5 is generated for round 1, out of the 25 active scores, the 5 most in favour of one fighter are thrown out and the 5 most in favour of the other fighter are thrown out, leaving the medium 15 scores which count. If 10 is generated, then 10 and 10 are thrown out, leaving the medium 5 scores that count (similar to Olympic iceskating/diving scoring)

The scores which are counted are averaged for a round. e.g. if one fighter is given 9,9,9,10,10 for a round by 5 counting judges, their score is 47/5 = 9.4, and if the other fighter for that same round was given 10,10,10,9,10 then their score would be 49/5 = 9.8, Or another example, if 15 counting judges all scores 10-9 to one fighter, that fighter has a score of 10 for that round, the other 9 for that round.

The average score per round is totalled for each fighter and voila a winner :)

Chances of a draw would be very very slim. bias would be more than averaged out of the equation

Interesting idea, but the idea of anonymous judges would open the floodgates to bribery.

Way too many scorecards will allow for statistical biases to absolutely occur.

This sport has always been scored from a subjective standpoint. They have criteria on what to follow as far as scoring a round for a specific fighter, but in a fight between two high level fighter's such as Canelo-GGG, many of the rounds are going to be very close so it's a matter of what the judges like. They're also trying to score everything in real time without the assistance of slow motion/instant replay to help them decide (a tool which could be helpful especially if the rounds are razor close.)

Even the amateur system is screwed up with their points scoring format. A lot of subjectivity on how they award points to amateur fighters.

I posted a similar idea earlier

Yours is more ambitious, But I suspect 25 judges wouldn't work financially.

Yeah, but there is an easy way around that. You don't tell which judges' cards will be used. Just like when they have a firing squad, not all rifles are loaded. Make it so the judges' cards that are used are randomly computer selected. Also, you need to have judges from around the world viewing the fight, not carefully picked guys who can be counted on for "home-cooking." No, unfortunately, boxing is in a terrible state right now. We all know it. Corruption is rampant. Another variable that could be tried would be to have the viewing public cast a vote and have them account for 50% of the vote. It is remarkable the accuracy of correct decisions I have seen coming from the viewing audience. Some might say you can't count on random voters from the viewing public but the results I have seen have been spot on. They won't do it, though, because they can't control it.

Not a problem. The majority of people who do these types of things do it for the love of the sport. Take the US Open tennis event. Do you know Osaka got $3.8 million for her victory and that Carlos Ramos, the ref who officiated the match, got about $600? Yes, you read that correctly, $600.

You don't have to do all that BS. Have the judges write a summary of what they saw round per round the next day after the fight (They can write, correct?). So say for example, Fighter A (unknown/not marketable/or whatever) dominated round 5 over Fighter B (Fighting in hometown/has Arum, King, Golden Girl/or whoever). If the judge writes something like, "well Fighter B used his feet as defense, so I gave him the round" yet Fighter A was scoring at will then you have proof that this particular judge either...a.) Doesn't know how to score a fight and is incompetent...b.) is too busy picking his nose during fights, or...c.) is corrupt and should not be allowed to judge a fight again.

Pretty simple, actually. But my idea would actually be exposing who the incompetent judges are and who the corrupt ones are, so I don't believe we will ever see it come to fruition.

Why not leave the results to a poll from the audience in the stadium and online from viewers who watched the fight on PPV and go with the majority decision? I guarantee you this will give you a correct fair result 99.99% of the times
