Spike v Lemieux...what y’all think??

It was always going to be a stoppage victory but that was brutal.

BJS stock shot up last night too.

 

Indeed Lemmy is still a threat but the way BJS boxed his brains out looks even better now.

Just to add, Lemieux looked huge in comparison. Brilliant finishing shot though.

 

Spike fought like a complete ****ing idiot. It's well established that to beat Lemieux you need to move. Clearly Spike is delusional about his punching power. In his last fight Spike stopped a career WW and this has obviously deluded him. He really boxed with a gameplan to counterpunch KO Lemieux, absolute madness. Hope that wasn't Collins' gameplan too. Just completely terrible. He was being paid $400k for the fight. If he won he would have made $1m+ next fight. At least try to win rounds...

Fact is Spike is very very poor ....Being an Irish blaggard does not get you a fight with Canelo...I am amazed he got Lemieaux fight because he is domestic level ..I was laughing my nuts off at people on here getting caught up in the Spike hype...Based on what? an Irish Moustache

 

BJS put an absolute schooling on both fighters.

 

Forgot to add to this, IMO the Usyk-Bellew fight will end in a very similar way to this. In fact I think it could be just as early too, certainly within the first three. It's similar in that Bellew, like Spike, I feel is a bit delusional about the extent of his power. Also, Usyk I think hits harder than most realise, it's just because he's so fleet-footed he rarely plants his feet.

Bellew's gameplan against Usyk will be similar to Spike's he'll be looking for the one-counterpunch KO. Won't surprise me at all if Usyk does a carbon copy KO to Bellew of Lemieux's last night.

 

He would not have got the fight if he wasn't Irish, it's that simple. If he's from Birmingham he is laughed out of town. He's just a walking silly moustache with gloves on.

Lemieux apparently came in at 179ib, whilst Spike was 165ib. That’s a ridiculous difference that.
