Everyone was saying he has to KO Canelo to win and not leave it up to the judges. Well where was the KO? GGG didn't look close to KO'ing Canelo in both fights, and when close fights are left to the judges both times, anything can happen.
This is why power can be overrated and punchers tend to get over hyped. Doesn't matter how hard you hit, for every Ernie Shavers or George Foreman there's a Holmes or Ali like chin that can take it.
At this elite level very rarely do you get a conclusive KO. Golovkin outboxed Canelo last night and it's proof with the cards that he would have had to stop Canelo to get the win. But enjoy boxing the fight was great much better than Kovalev v Ward or Crawford v Horn etc.
3G was knocking out CWs in the gym, so my only conlusion is the obvious one. Canelo hydrated up to HW before the fight, that lumin cheeat. He had the extra weight hidden in his feet. Fat feet.
