Time zones and spoilers and stuff? Surprised there haven't been many threads but this is actually starting to be my favourite season of them all.
I liked all previous American versions. Mora being the original one probably had a sentimental edge. I liked Sakio Bika addition too. This addition has so much heat and characters. I can't pick a winner in hardly any fight. I am hoping for a Mosley or Khytrov win though tbh
Yup looks like he may struggle a bit, some good fighters with misleading records. Still rooting for him, I like an underdog. Khytrov just has a fun style so will be in entertaining fights regardless.
Khytrov is actually a top talent. Chin is suspect but he's got the skills. As much as hate as Eubank Jr gets at least he's talented and can be top level opposition. Mosley Jr loses to journeymen.
I like this season so far, a lil bit too much fake drama here and there but the fights are actually very entertaining. They seem so well matched together I have no clue who'll win or who will make it to the final fight. I'm pulling for Brandon Adams though, he's chinny too like most of them guys but I've been following him since I first watched him on ESPN's boxcino tournaments.
Is there zero interest in this? It has been good viewing IMO Mosley is very unco for the son of a legend, but still hoping he wins it. He looks like food though tbh. If he doesnt win, Im rooting for the other Gold Team members, specifically Khytrov Would love to see Michael Moore get splattered but fancy him to win his QF
Imagine if Christopher was on the Gold Team, he would have abused these guys both mentally and physically. The Blue team has been winning the mental battle but that's just because the Gold Team were too nice. Christopher would have his way with these guys tbh, some of the smallest looking 160lbers I have ever seen. They all look like blown up 154lbers
He kept pulling it out of the bag when he was on the verge of losing it. Can't help but feel he had the easiest fight and still barely knicked it though lol
The guys who have fought so far, imo they have all looked really bad. Mosley definitely surprised me. But it seems like he will likely not get to the semis. Let's see where he places himself on the board.
The show is delivering!!! Some great action/drama in the last 2 fights. Khytrov was a boss, and Adams pummels Brunson Id say in the opening round I was most impressed with Khytrov and Eric Walker. Khytrov just bamboozled Thurmans (lol) defense and Walker was so relentless against a bloke I thought might win the whole thing. I actually didn't realize how small Khytrov was tbh, the whole show is filled with tiny ass blown up 147/154 lbers and he looks near the smallest lol. My rankings after the 1st round 1- Walker Best win of the opening round, he won with brains and brawn against a bloke who gave Jermell hell 2- Khytrov Great punch picking, dominant win. Might of beat a can but looked great doing so 3- Moore Bulldozed his way to victory in a dominant win, ugly style but could be hard to beat 4- Adams Power, speed and tenacity. Could have been higher on the list tbh 5- Thompson Got clipped himself in a war and was hurt, can't rank him higher than that. Looked like a threat on attack. Still has chin issues. 6- Sherrell Decent win, He's a bit of a boxer, a bit of a puncher. Had moments of vulnerability, I think he can be out muscled though. Could be a smokey. 7- Mosley Uncoordinated and clumsy and lacking power too. Mosley made up for his weaknesses with heart and conditioning. Fun to watch either way. 8- Hernandez Thought he lost, didn't have any stand out attribute. Didn't look particularly skillful. This bloke vs Mosley will be epic QF predictions Walker vs Thompson= Walker KO Khytrov vs Adams= Khytrov KO Sherrell vs Moore= Moore dec Mosley vs Hernandez= Mosley dec
Walker didn't get the KO but he did give Thompson a whooping, Semi vs Khytrov will be great, hope Khytrov bangs him out Thompson really is a chinny bloke, I don't think Walker hits very hard. Walker was loading up and landing the right hand regularly but couldn't keep Thompson down. Walker is a tough guy though and has a fighters mentality. I think he doesn't have much finesse and is just a grinder. Throws a lot punches but doesn't set his shots up very well, he has zero trickery. Not a great athlete, and average size, although Khytrov is a small guy himself. Khytrov on the other hand sets his shots up very well and has a bit more heat on his punches. Khytrov can be drawn into a war and his chin is a little questionable but Walker doesn't hit hard enough to crack it. Khytrov should win the battle of skills, and the only way I see Walker winning is through out hustling him in a battle of wills, TBF though Adams could actually be the harder fight for Khytrov, he hits hard enough to keep him honest. Adams could be another Aleem type shoot out. Adams is more athletic than both Walker and Khytrov he is just a bit short and stumpy. Adams also has that questionable chin too. If Adams gets by Khytrov I say Walker beats him.
