agreed, junior just isnt a top level fighter. hes done well to do what he has though, i never predicted it when i first saw him on undercards on 5. how much of eubanks stories about NY are true?
He's clearly answered that question. He had nothing growing up other than what he stole and young Chris had everything.
It's completely contrived. Eubank's a street kid from Peckham who moved to the Bronx. He's about as far removed from the landed gentry as it's possible to be. From what I can recall from his book, he barely attended school.
If so, he's done well to keep up the fake posh accent for so long, all the time. Is there any videos where he slips up and starts talking Peckham?
Funnily enough Louis Theroux wrote that when he gets really pissed off, he does. Given that he spent a fair bit of time with him filming that documentary, I'm willing to believe it. Have you ever seen the face off with Eubank/Hearn and Benn/Mendy on ITV that's on YT? Ambrose Mendy calls Eubank "a street kid just like us". Are you that much of a brainlet that you think that all people stick with the accents they're born with? Ever heard of the actor Richard Burton? He was from one of the Welshiest-sounding places in Wales, yet sounded like a London thespian because he knew that's what he would need to sound like to get to the bigtime, and it worked. Think about that for a minute then get back to me.
