Thats just really sweet but you are a known troll so who gives a **** what you think? Im willing to listen to nearly anybody breaking down that fight but not you. I love an opinion but your opinion counts for absolutly nothing.
Factors in what their faces looks like as part of his scoring. Jeeeeeeeeez. Based on that, Ricky Hatton lost pretty much every fight he was involved in. Some people mark up more than others. Canelo had a much bigger cut over the eye.
This is how I scored it: Round 1: The first round Golovkin dominates with the jab. Very few punches from Canelo but what he does throw is mostly effective. Golovkin was however far more active in the round (particularly the first half). Canelo throws a few nice combinations but not enough to win him the round. 10-9 Golovkin. Round 2: Canelo is much more active, he ups the pace a lot in round 2. He has clearly adapted to the situation, and throughout the round, especially the first minute, he catches Golovkin with a lot of nice combos and shots. Golovkin's jabbing is far less effective, particularly in the first 2 thirds of the round. He comes on a bit better in final third, but it's not enough. A clear Canelo round for me. 10-9 Canelo Round 3: Golovkin gets the jab working again in round 3. He also avoids a lot of Canelo's shots early on. Canelo isn't as active in this round, but comes on a little stronger in the second half of the round. Golovkin edges this round by his movement and the dominating jab in the first minute. 10-9 Golovkin Round 4: Golovkin is very strong for the majority of this round. He manages to use the jab to get straight shots to the body, and to the head with uppercuts. They are largely successful shots. Canelo throws some nice combinations late on but nothing huge, so Golovkin wins this one for me. 10-9 Golovkin Round 5: This is the best round of the fight so far. The first half of the round is very back and forth, both guys landing good shots. However, the second half of the round, Golovkin regains control, slows the pace down a bit and once again tames Canelo with the jab for the most part. Golovkin just about wins this one. 10-9 Golovkin Round 6: Canelo finds a way back into the fight in round 6. The first half of round 6 involves Canelo completely dominating, throwing some very good clean shots to the body and head. Golovkin isn't comfortable towards the end of the round, and you can see he is starting to tire a bit. This is the only round so far where Golovkin isn't able to have clear spells of control with the jab. Crucial Canelo round. 10-9 Canelo. Round 7: This is a very good round. Canelo controls the first minute with some effective shots. However, in the last minute, Golovkin manages to exploit a lot of spots in Canelo's guard, and lands a lot of shots for the first time in the fight. It's a close round, but I think Golovkin was always present throughout the whole 3 minutes either with jabs or aggression, whereas Canelo was there in patches. A close Golovkin round. 10-9 Golovkin Round 8: A lot happens in round 8, but neither fighter is hugely effective. Canelo is strong early on, and is starting to find shots to the GGG's head more than before. Canelo also avoids a lot of Golovkin's shots. Late on in the round Golovkin lands a few decent shots but nothing significant. Canelo's counters are starting to cause GGG some problems. GGG is definitely more open and definitely looks more tired than Canelo does. 10-9 Canelo Round 9: Golovkin loses his composure a fair bit in round 9, particularly in the first minute. Canelo's counter shots are definitely starting to show their worth. In the middle of the round however, Golovkin throws more and lands some good punches. Nothing much happens in the last section of the round. A close Golovkin round. 10-9 Golovkin Round 10: The first half of round 10 really defines the majority of the fight so far for Canelo. Brilliant in patches. He catches a clearly tired GGG a lot, and the energy he has conserved throughout the fight allows him to punish Golovkin. Lots of great combinations from Canelo. Golovkin comes back in the last 30 seconds or so, but definitely too late to save the round. This is the first time that we have seen Canelo look a little tired, but rightly so after the onslaught he gave to GGG early on. Clear Canelo round. 10-9 Canelo Round 11: This is a very good round for both guys. Another back and forth round. Both guys throw some good combinations, but I think Canelo's counters are more solid punches and have more intent. He is also slightly more active than usual. Therefore, I give this round to Canelo but not by much. 10-9 Canelo Round 12: Again, another great round to watch. Both guys give it their all. They both have moments in the round, but Canelo's are more memorable and once again have more intent. A razor close round to Canelo. 10-9 Canelo Final Score: 114-114 DRAW Golovkin didn't get the win because his stamina management was weaker than Canelo's. If this was 3 or 4 years back, GGG takes those final 2 rounds clearly (You could still argue for GGG regardless and a win either way is possible). He moved a lot more than he needed to in those early rounds and it cost him rounds at the end. Canelo had managed his energy almost perfectly and it allowed him to come on strong late on when he was behind. No doubt GGG is the better boxer, but his age/stamina let him down as the fight went past 7 or 8 rounds.
Wow. I can't get over how many of you have the motivation to come onto a boxing forum and post about decisions when you have ZERO understanding of how to score a fight. GGG is a good boy and you like seeing KO's. I get it. But that's not a good enough reason to lie to yourselves about his clear and obvious loss to Canelo. Just in case you are uneducated enough to genuinely believe it was a bad decision, I have responded to each of your posts individually on order to explain to you why you're wrong and help you to correct yourself going forward. You were too generous to Gumplovkin. He didn't deserve those early rounds. I only gave triple Gump the 10th and 11th.
8-4 to Canelo? Forget turning the sound off your TV. Go book an eye test as your local optician ASAP instead.
Turning off the sound is not a good idea when you are blind. But congrats for successfully counting to 12.
