Against JJ Mcdonagh who is a Middleweight. McDonagh was the lad who jumped up to LHW to destroy Matchroom hype job Jake Ball in one round so he can bang a fair bit.

Assuming this will be at SMW though.

Good to see Eubank return although would have liked it to be against Holzken. Think their styles would have gelled well and Holzken deserves another decent fight for his efforts against Smith.

Awful prospect for the fans. We could have Wilder-Fury, Eubank-Degale, Brook-Khan, Whyte-Chisora, Warrington-Frampton in the same month. All of those would be PPV whether they warrant it or not. Eubank-Degale would be on ITV PPV.

Who would you pick in a Degale-Eubank fight?

Crazy that Matchroom have tried to Bury JJ McDonaghs career since he destroyed their Ball Hypejob. Hearn and Ball refused the rematch and now Ball is being built back up for another title fight.

Eubank everyday now. The Degale who beat Dirrell would have been a very hard fight for Eubank. I'd still probably favour Eubank because in every single fight Degale fades and stops boxing in the last third of the fight.

Eubank's style is all wrong for Degale, Degale now gets absolutely battered but I suppose the payday will be worth it.

Craig Richards should beat Ball handily.

CEJ should be fighting at 160 and he could easily make that weight. He needs size and strength advantages to make up for his average footwork. Average is being kind...

Chris Eubank Jr is the official reserve fighter for the main event. If either Groves or Smith get injured from now until fight night, Eubank will step in to save the show.

Whether you like it or not, WBSS are not going to pay for a big money opponent for the reserve because that opponent would need to be paid off if Eubank is called into main event action. That's why Briedis was matched against Deslaurier on the undercard of Usyk-Gassiev. Briedis was the reserve fighter and if the fans got their way, we would have wanted him against Dorticos.

Actually a pretty decent comeback fight

Probably at SMW which I still don't think in the long run is a good idea just too many big guys who would manhandle him Groves,Smith and Benavidez.

That being he is probably hanging around for the Degale fight which I can see why, I have him sparking Degale and sending him into retirement.

well, they could have Paid very Little Money for far better fighters than this mcdonagh. there are alot of super middleweights that would have taken short Money just to use eubank as a stepping Stone.

after all, he has a big Name...……...but very Little actual ability. and that is why they pick someone who lost to a 2 fight novice just earlier this year to make sure that the eubwanker wont slip up…… pathetic.

Degale at one point was an elite fighter even if flawed. Eubank never was and never will be. This version loses because hes shot but the peak Degale schools him.
