I'll tell you one thing, Froch at 168 would have marked GGG

I always thought Froch would be a very tough opponent for GGG. Golovkin's greatest strength his power is negated by Froch's ridiculous chin. Maybe Golovkin can put him down like Taylor and Groves in fact I'd expect it, but that would just wake the beast.

Froch is significantly bigger and rangier, he has an underrated jab and while Golovkin can box a bit he isn't exactly quick or elusive, he'd be eating Froch right hands all night from the biggest hitter he's ever faced by far.

When it comes down to it I think it's a battle of attrition and comes down to who wanted it more and I don't see Froch coming up short in this regard. We've seen Froch get out boxed by guys like Groves, Taylor, Kessler and Ward but never out fought, unlike Golovkin who couldn't trade with the smaller Canelo and had to resort to boxing. Would be close but Froch wins a tough, close decision in a fight where both probably hit the canvas.

 

Hahaha...so after 13 years, a 90% KO ratio and two contentious decisions all of a sudden GGG is now a bum?

 

Prime GGG would destroy prime Froch.
GGG is stylistically nightmare for Froch.
End of the story.

 

I never said that and its certainly not the case, dont assume things. Pavlik would be horribly wrong for GGG. He would NOT take a single backwards step all night and would keep GGG on the wrong end of his jab and 1-2's and work him.

 

How is a smaller guy with slow hand speed who comes forward with leaky defense a stylistic nightmare for Froch? That makes no sense. Froch eats that style alive.

 

Groves would take GGG to school.

 

Carls Cobra jab has a 5 inch reach advantage over Golovkins. That spells disaster for Golovkin who is 100% dependent on his jab.
Froch wins the jab battle so it would be all down hill from there since GGG is not slick enough to get around it.

 

Taylor hurt and dropped Froch, Golovkin hits harder and is more fundamentally sound. It's not a given Froch wins.

 

If he's take Golovkin out with little issue why did he struggle with Magee, Taylor, Groves x2, Dirrell, OAP Johnson, etc?

How can you be right about something that never happened ?

Murray went down how many times against GGG ? 3 times then got a TKO.

Groves never sent Murray down, and he had Froch on his ass in the first round of their first fight.

To me, it speaks volume when you talk about a certain fighter being a beast, make a poll about your next fight and when that said fighter wins the poll you decide to... retire ? And then claim he would've been easy work for you.

Froch went out on his own terms and on a high therefore idiots elevated him to ATG status.
