    If he does need a good trainer Atlas certainly is not the man.

    Yeah, I understand he's a controversial guy, but Teddy definitely knows a thing or two about boxing. Also, would you choose Teddy Atlas or Marco Contreras as a trainer for your boxer, for example?

    Look at what Atlas did to Povetkin back in the day. This might really screw up Gvozdyk.

    He didn't train him. Robert Garcia has moved to his new gym in Riverside, and Marco Contreras was Gvozdyk's (along with all other guys in Egis Klimas' gym) trainer.

    Atlas isnt stupid, he clearly has a decent IQ.

    Atlas has been around boxing a long time and as a commentator he's probably watched and analyzed more boxing as most trainers in the last 20 years, simply because it was his job.

    He developed close father son type relationships with some of his fighters, so he clearly cares about them.



    Those 3 things alone tell you that he probably has the makings of a good trainer as long as his ego is in check.

    But you can't say atlas has no clue about boxing, nobody who has atleast average intelligence and has been exposed to boxing almost every day for decades is clueless

    Please no! Moorer, Povetkin and many others lost something in their game under the Atlas. Fortunately for Povetkin, he left Atlas after few unimpressive years of cooperation. Belov, Zimin and Kirpa are better trainers. Moorer too was certainly more impressive when he was trained by Steward. Teddy just isn't a good trainer

    Teddy’s a spotlight loving ass who is in love with his own opinions. He’s overrated in all aspects of boxing, training and commentating.

    Was he in Moorer's corner against Big George?

    Because i seem to recall whoever was in his corner that fight telling he after every round to watch out for that 1 big shot......Which was pretty much the only advice which was needed.
