Dirrell never beat a live opponent prior or after Froch and was pure hype of the highest AmeriCan variety......Pascal did well no doubt at 175 but it was in a weak period but he still did well. And yes Golovkin ruled a period at 160 arguably as weak (although I think slightly better) than the Hopkins era but what he did do was put B level opponents away like top tier fighters do. You never saw Golovkin struggle with the Brian Magees of this world, the Allan Greene's of this world....you'd never see Paul Smith jr going into round 9.....or needing to fight Robert Allen thrice. But who was AA best wins at 160 again?
You're not seriously trying to bash Carl Froch's resume are you? It's one of the best in recent years. The guy literally fought everyone in his division which at the time was stacked.
But it wasn't as stacked as it was made out to be bat Ward and an ageing Kessler and both beat Froch. Froch had a very solid run. From Taylor to Groves .
You also never saw GGG beat a fighter the caliber of Kessler Bute Pascal or Groves did you? The fact is had Froch fought cans like GGG up until his last 2 opponents for his career he would have been undefeated as well. You keep talking about Abraham but at least Abraham was a legit titleholder at 160 and went on to have sucess at 168 as well unlike trash like Vanes and Wade jr and Monroe Jr and Rosado. Kessler yes he was elite and he beat Froch past prime, Pascal never did nothing at 168....it's like Hopkins taking props for beating Johnson at 160. Bute was a good win, Ward actively avoided him but remember GGG already iced him in 2 and GG is a champion in a **** poor division.....Groves is not a high quality win imo. He got a Canelo in their first fight a nd basically showed his true colours in their rematch. It's amazing how many people paint Kovalev as the bad guy and Ward as some saint when it was Ward and his team who was cavorting with JDJ behind Kovalevs back...that's some real "nice guy" right there.
