What are you talking about? GGG, for instance, fought at home his whole career in germany. Nobody has opened more tomato cans EVER. Well, maybe chávez sr... Are you implying that guys like mayweather or crawford or canelo (who turned pro a 15 :eeeeek:) are megastars because they fight at home? /facepalm

I remember why I stopped reading this forum. Here every idiot has an agenda and no freaking idea about boxing.

Btw, on topic, pros >>>> amateurs. I dont care about what you all say, the only reason you should stay in amateurs is because you are not ready for the pros, if you are ready and dont go pro, you are making a mistake. The same way, if you are not ready and turn pro, you are making a mistake too.

Yes it is a big mistake to turn pro so late. The same problem have cuban fighters. Those fighters that start so late cannot offer the best of them, because their career prime and their physical prime are out of phase, and it's a pity specially for us, the fans. :(

Their age combined with their experience is a factor dummy. It is not the same thing no matter how much you try and justify it. Turning pro at 26 with loads of am and WSB experience is not the same as turning pro at 18 or 19 of course you're going to need more fights at that age before you are ready for a title shot you're still a teenager and not fully developed. Neither Loma or Usyk did this at 18 or 19 so stop acting like they were teenagers when they turned pro because they weren't. Not everyone here is dumb enough to fall for your agenda fueled garbage and can clearly see there is a big difference. If you want to play that game what was PBF doing at 26 and what was Loma or Usyk doing at 26? Or what was PBF doing at 19 and what was Loma and Usyk doing at 19?

Pac turned pro at 16. He didnt even get on PPV until he was 26. And he didnt even headline it. Morales was the headliner. And that was after Pac had KOed Barrera and dropped Marquez 3 times.

I hate PPV, but it does indicate how how big a draw you are.

Building up your name takes time. It took Pac 10 years to build his name up to PPV. Now of course when you're a teenager you cant just take on elite guys without getting smashed usually. So Pac fought some Pinoy Bums for a while. But at 19 he was already fighting the best man in the division.

Look at GGG hes finally a big draw after 12 years in his career. But now hes getting too old to capitalize.

Even FMJ didnt get on PPV until 9 years into his career. And Gatti was the headliner.

This stuff takes time. Unless your SRL or DLH or a HW building your name takes time.

Sure stupid I’ll play that game. Let’s see Loma was winning every ****ing fight he had in the amateurs and winning golds at different tourneys. Floyd was losing in the 1996 Olympics at 19.

At 26 Floyd was winning some good fights yeah. He was in the PFP rankings. But after beating a bunch guys who were D maybe C level at best when first starting out. Loma at 26 was whooping the ass of a guy you used to praise very highly on here... GRJ in his 3rd pro fight. Go ahead and bring up the Salido loss and ignore all the circumstances that lead to that ‘loss’ I thought Loma edged it. I know I know... “Of course you thought Loma won! AGENDA!!”

And I’m more than certain you had Floyd winning the first Castillo fight right?? Even though the vast majority think otherwise. But I don’t play forum police and whine about it like you and a few others do.

You think Floyd is better... Whatever continue to think that! That’s your business. But quit pulling the agenda card on people who don’t like the puke. And it’s not just me, you’ve done it to many others on here. And people have a right to their own opinion and if you don’t like it... too ****ing bad.

A plus post. People, frankly, are being naive and short-sighted if they think that those fighters have the same pro opportunities from the get go as those from the US. Even very good amateurs from the region never get a decent shot at a pro career. It wasn't that long ago that even Lebedev had to retire at the beginning of his career due to lack of pro support. And the demographics aren't here for US promoters to take a big financial risk on building them up. Believe me, Arum and company would kill for a guy like Loma to be American, Mexican, or Puerto Rican. GGG got as big as he was in no small part to being sold to Mexicans as their type of fighter.

U.S. promoters started giving them a shot because they fought for cheap and that was attractive in the age of diminishing budgets with dates to fill. It's idiotic to blame the fighters for not establishing themselves as pros until later here if they don't get the opportunities to do so.

Now murricans trying to pretend your slickz are smarter than EE fighters too? Total fcking mongs. Do you even understand the economic state of places out there in the 90s when these middle-age fighters were coming of age? Clearly not. Here's a clue, an amateur career put food on the table, a pro career made you homeless unless you get into a 'Western' country and even then good luck getting promoted. Dat white privilege y'all.

Amateurs have harder fights that most pro's in their first 20 fights ffs.

Didn't Shawn Porter claim that he fought Usyk in the Amateurs?

That's a better opponent than he has fought his whole pro career.....
