Not having a network deal plus the apparent possibility of Mayweather/Pacquiao II happening the week before... I just don't see it.
You sir, are a gentleman and I respect your differing view. That's how disagreements should be conducted.
@kk17 You may think it's pointless, but there is nothing wrong with a soft touch after a war, and of course there that little thing called mandatory. I believe DL is now the mandatory for Canelo's WBA MW title...? So there's that.
It's going to be hard to match Canelo going forward. He's no quite 5'8" (a smidge shorter than Floyd). Guys like Jacobs, Andrade and Saunders are all 5'11", big, fast and mobile. Terrible matchups. Lemieux and Munigua are logical matchups. He can do well against these fighters. Obviously GGG is not too big either. I just can't see him turning around quickly enough to fight in December. No way. He's a twice a year Mexican.
Canelo is defeatable. He doesn't create the kind of fear GGG does in his opponents. For heavens sakes he was being outboxed and out punched by Khan's speed for 5-6 rounds.
One thing Lemieux has is that vicious left hook, and Canelo ate a lot of those vs. GGG. It would be interesting to see how Canelo would approach this fight, if he would stand there or move/run like the first GGG fight. I suspect there would be a re-hydration clause in there somewhere..?
If the fight is in Vegas hen youre right the ONLY way GGG can win is by KO he;ll NEVER get a decision over Caneloas the last two robberies proved
Yeah but we all knew months ago all Canelo had to do was be standing at the final bell & he'd get the decision
You and everyone that's still crying about the outcome insisted GGG would KO Canelo if he dared to stand too-to-toe with GGG. Canelo did, and GGG didn't. Canelo did as he promised, GGG did not. Any reason why GGG backpedaled throughout most of the fight and failed to deliver on what he promised since he had Canelo there for the taking?
