    I wouldn’t be so sure.

If he wins that tournament he becomes a HUGE star. Has a defence in the new year then next summer an Anfield unification or a Eubank/Degale “name”. Throw the other Smiths on the card, Pricey if he’s still alive, Fowler should be at a decent level then too.

Stadium fights always sell well, I don’t know one that’s sold poorly. Mainly due to the football casual side of things but in the likes of Leeds, Liverpool etc it captures the imagination of the entire city.

You’d know better than me being from Liverpool. I just know that if I say the name Callum Smith to people at work even the sporty ones won’t have a clue.

Not sure the Groves fight is getting the coverage it deserves to propel Smith to the top. Also it’s a weak division.

Liverpool is full of the insta slags you talk about so it would sell. As soon as the radio etc got hold of it the whole city would want to be there, most of them wouldn’t know why they would, but they would.

I feel sorry for Smith, Dirrell avoided him, then he just stagnated for years and Fielding, from the same city who he blasted out in a round is being called a world champ before him. Now he’s got a huge fight with Groves and nobody except proper boxing fans are talking about it, even in his own city.

They were really plug it during the Breaks of the Goodwood Revival festival. I imagine the fan overlap for boxing and historic car festivals would be fairly low
