I got a feeling he wont do very well as a pro.. once he runs into a slick boxer he will be toyed with for 12 rounds and outboxed/picked apart. his style is fun to watch though I will give him credit I would watch if he turned pro lol.

He was the best fighter at the World Championship ( won the best boxer award) and European championships by far. The way in which he dominated World class opposition in both those tournaments indicates he is a real legit top prospect. He won Gold in the World Youth championships too. Only just turned 22 years old, can't wait till he turns pro, Huge future.

To be honest . I don't know how ANYBODY can say they weren't impressed with him at the World Championships where he was awarded the Best Boxer award. I think they have an ulterior motive, or are trolling. He was brilliant to watch and very very impressive. I've never known for example A Val Barker trophy winner after the Olympics getting comments '' I'm not impressed with him''

I was pretty impressed by Shaksuvarly in these world championships. There's a decent argument to be made that he was unlucky not to make it to the final himself. His fight against Amankul was very close. Medzhidov said he thought there was no way Shaksuvarly lost that one, granted he is his countryman and team mate though. But I enjoyed watching Shaksuvarly and he can really crack with both hands.

He was days away from turning 19 while the Ukrainian who took his lunch money had just turned 22 and why would you use a real pro as an example when your target is an amateur with zero pro fights?

    SMH....

A quality boxer with good footwork and movement will cause him problems, but there's another side to that coin: the psychological and physical pressure he puts on his opponents under is getting to them and causing them to fade over 3 rounds. Granted it's going to be nigh on impossible for him to fight at that pace continuously over the 12 round distance, but just having to deal with that kind of constant psychological pressure alone against an opponent that just keeps coming and throwing hard whilst seemingly being impervious to your attacks can be incredibly draining to deal with. They're going to have to keep him off of them for 12 rounds not 3.

Lennox Lewis said he lost a fight in the amateurs because his opponent took all his best shots and he just couldn't deter them from coming forward applying non stop pressure on him. He said it's really draining mentally on you having to deal with that.

By the way, Alex Krassyuk (K2 ceo) has already mentioned (even a couple of times) that he would be happy to sign Khyzhniak even right now. Buy I guess we will have to wait till after the Olympics.

I watched the fight against Aston Brown. I was actually impressed by both, but frame wise the Ukranian looks like a natural middleweight. Is the middle limit in WSB 160 like the pros or 165 like AM's? Either or he looks good but naturally a middle.

I highly doubt that's true. Ukrainian sport doesn't even have the money to fund a Ukrainian World series of Boxing Team. I expect he'll turn pro after winning Gold in 2016. Most of the Best Ukranian amateurs have been going pro in recent years.

He falls in the same group as Camarenelle, Medzhidov and others. They have better things to do than to turn pro, I guess.
