It's a pound for pound argument. It's a what if, but I would want to see it, though: to see what would happen. Robinson always said that he’d never go up to light-heavyweight, as well. Just because I want to see it doesn't mean that it would ever happen. It's possible, but not likely. Still, in pound for pound fight, where everything lines up(power, esp.), that would be some good stuff.

The quote above was from someone that was talking about a fight between Tyson and Robinson, I`m not sure why he mentioned that Robinson said he would never fight at light heavy, because he fought Maxim at light heavy, but maybe that`s the point he was making.

You're going to hit Mike Tyson with a shrink ray until he's 160 pounds?

The quote which you highlighted is absolutely ridiculous.

Why on earth are you giving your time to these guys?

Stop making silly threads based upon the opinions of people with no knowledge of the sport.

    This forum is getting ridiculous.
At least we are at number 49 out of 50 greatest fighters.

Only a kangaroo could beat Tyson.

If Robinson bulked up to heavyweight, Tyson wins.

If Tyson starved and diet pilled his way to middle weight, Robinson wins easily.

Now if you mean greater pound for pound as in who was just the better fighter when you adjust for size, many would say Robinson.

Doubt he could take a gorilla. I don't even think he could take a chimp.

However, back in 1988, he was at the zoo with Robin Givens and he offered one of the zoo employees $10,000 U S dollars to open the gorilla cage so he could punch the gorilla in the nose.

    The zookeeper refused.

Yes I know, hence the comment.

There's not a person alive that could go mano a mano with a full grown gorilla and survive.

    That's true. Here's a few fun facts:

Did you know that chimps are more related to humans than they are to gorillas?

Leopards are the only known natural predator of gorillas. Meaning that leopards kill and eat them.

Gorillas are mainly plant eaters. The only thing in their diet that can be considered meat is insects.

Obviously. Things are getting silly here. Being more realistic Mike Tyson with a hockey stick and a badger versus a adult silver back gorilla and a hive of bees. Who do you got?!

Head to head I'll pick SRR over 13 year old Mike Tyson, because that was probably the last time Tyson was in SRR's weight class.
