    Hamed stops JMM .
Hell JMM lost to NORWOOD AND JOHN two boxers who Hamed would have knocked out.
People forget how great Hamed was- destroyed Tom Johnson who was a long reigning champion. Made Robinson who had been on a great streak look like a novice .
Destroyed Bungu who was a soild boxer.
Destroyed Vasquez easily. And these were world class boxers.

If they were to fight around 99/00 when they were meant to then this would have been a great fight. Marquez wasn't the full works at this point but was still a world class operator. Nadeem hadn't fully drifted into believing his own hype to the point he didn't train properly either so we should have got a very even affair.

I think it would be really close. No doubt with Nas' power he can put Marquez down and let's not forget at this time Marquez couldn't take a decision over Norwood who although a different style, I'd rank Naseem as a better fighter.

Marquez will of course land better counters and he has enough power to put Nas down as well. I do think Marquez peaked around 04-08 in terms of putting his style together so I can see him making mistakes and being dropped but rallying back and taking a lot of rounds on counter punching, he may drop Nas as well.

I'd say around that time Nas probably gets the nod on the cards as it's be in Britain and people argue over the decision for the next twenty years.

If you mean 99 when the fight could've actually happenend, I'd pick Hamed.

MAB was able you outbox Naz.

That tells you all you need to know.

    Norwood edged Marquez.

That tells you all you need to know.

How did you score the fight, and how similar in style is Hamed to Norwood?

I personally scored it 7-5 to Marquez but don't really have a problem with the decision, it was a very close fight.

Plus Norwood was a bit of a flat footed pressure fighter which is as opposite as it gets to a slick footed sharp shooter.

MAB beat Hamed by totally changing his style and outboxing him behind his jab, some nifty combos and a few dirty tactics. Marquez would have boxed his ears off.

I'm probably the biggest Hamed fan that ever lived and he has a punchers chance against anyone from 126 and below, but favouring him here is not something I do. Especially due to a pressure fighter edging a decision against JMM.

I think I had Marquez winning, but Norwood was a weird southpaw who put Marquez on his ass. Marquez became a much better fighter at 130 and 135.

I didn’t think Hamed lost by much to Barrera. He was a stale fighter at that point though, so it’s a crappy measuring stick.

As crappy as a measuring stick it might be it's eacexacthe point when the fight was actually close to happening.

Prior to that he had his mandatories plus his break out fight in America

Barrera is actually a more well rounded technical fighter. Nobody is a better counter puncher than Marquez. But Barrera also took the lead at times against Hamed too.

It all depends on which version of Hamed turns up.

Hamed trained by Brendan Ingle = big KO win for Hamed
Hamed getting all Bertie-big-bollocked, sacking Ingle and thinking he knows it all = easy pts victory for Marquez.
