At their prime who would win in a fight between Mike Tyson and Rocky Marciano?

Not much, but I know he lies about not drinking and using drugs still. He admitted didn't he that all the years he said he was clean was all lies and he drinks more than ever, so im guessing he still has drug binges with it

Who would win the the cheat contest, the Marciano disregard for necessarily only using his fists and only when opponent not on the deck or Tysons ear nibbles?

I think a fast starting Tyson destroys Marciano, if and it a big if it got took late into the fight, then Tyson might have had a battle on his hands, though i can't see later rounds occurring.

Marcianno fought in a different era. I think the size difference will make a difference. Sure Rocky had the best stamina in history and would never stop throwing punches but i think the fight will be stopped in the middle rounds

This. I like Tyson, but his poor infighting skills would get him killed against Marciano down the stretch.

Love the Rock but his only chance is to weather the storm and take Tyson deep. If it got past the sixth, I would say Marciano would be a shoe in to win, as Tyson was a guy who faded fast and Marciano a guy who got stronger. But it is hard to see him getting past the sixth against the human wrecking ball that was Mike Tyson years 19-23.

Two great fighters but just very different eras.

Marciano did have a LHW frame. You can look at his bone measurements or the breath of his shoulders & see even if he had packed on muscle he was the size of a modern rehydrated LHW in the upper body.

I agree that he would have little chance vs. prime Tyson.
He never even fought a very good modern size HW, & the greater endurance & amazing fighting spirit would not have a chance to emerge.

Many boxers used PEDs. And we can never be sure someone did not.
But I can never be sure that anyone here is not a (fill in the blank) criminal.
To ASSUME folks are guilty absent at least overwhelming circumstantial evidence is illogical & unfair.
I do not even see the evidence that any of us can KNOW if most took PEDs in any recent era-or the majority at least dabbled-or not.

YES folks can look less impressive & take PEDs.
How effective they are when used is in question: or they can add muscle (usually do) but be accompanied by much fat & obscure the gains.

But nothing about Weaver or Tyson screams PED use.
Tyson was always large in muscle mass. It is very implausibe he had them when poor in his early teens.
And rages? TONS of folks have rages & mental imbalances-including when using recreational drugs, drinking, & before steroids were invented!

Weaver? He was very defined, but not very much over 200 lbs.
Gaining much muscle when already muscular, very fast, is a sign of steroid use-neither guy did this.
Weaver was not even carrying mucho muscle for HWs of his era-he was just lower body fat.

As far as potential goes, if you have a large bone structure & work out for years, you can be the size of a Tyson. And the only body part that MIGHT exceed what you would expect from someone genetically blessed is his neck: but boxing & Tyson's specific training worked that.

There is a great website with various charts showing NATURAL genetic potential...The author is Casey Butts, & HIS system is likely the best because it accounts for bone structure via ankle & wrist measurements.

Tyson comes in at neat the genetic max in weight & leg size at 10% body fat.
His upper body other than his neck does not.
Now he COULD have used to get there.
But he does not have either the overall size or rapid muscle gain when already big that tells us it is likely he did.

Cus was doing worse things to Tyson than feeding him PEDs.

Marciano had a 39" chest and 14" biceps,I was bigger than that at college, and I'm no giant!

    Have a look at this.

Nothing is obvious or super obvious without proof.e.g Joshua has been tested 10 times in the last 6 months ,negative each time.

If they had the same physical development they wouldn't be the same fighters would they?
The fans of Marciano, trying to hurdle the inescapable fact he would look like a dwarf against modern super heavies ,resort to saying, but today he would be 220lbs .Well if he was, he would be that much slower and his stamina would be significantly reduced,he fought at185lbs because that was the optimum weight for him.

I question the statement that Marciano had a better chin.
Who put Tyson down when he was in shape?
188lbs Moore and 192lbs Walcott floored Marciano,do you think they would floor Tyson? Tyson took the punches of Ruddock,Bruno,Smith without going down. His chin is proven against power-punching big heavyweights, Marciano's is not.
Stamina is a moot point because so many of Tyson's opponents were blasted out early ,but you're going to penalise him for that?
Marciano's biggest wins are over men past prime and significantly older, you would expect his stamina to be superior to theirs would you not?
Q.How many rounds do Cokkel,Lastarza,Charles, Moore, old Louis, go with Tyson?

It wouldn't go "down the stretch".
