It cannot be denied. After only 22 fights his record/resume is remarkable. No wonder he is a boxing superstar.
His resume gets better after every fight. There is only 1 person who is missing. When you look at wilder there are many people missing
You can't deny his resume. I still have some suspicions over his chin and stamina but I admire his hard work and the fact he approaches every fight differently.
He got hit with a few good shots tonight and got rocked with a stinger at the end of the first that bust his nose open. First round wobbles are you being cold. he did not look worried after the 2nd about the power and his hands started dropping a bit and letting them go. i dont think he has a chin like Tau but i dont think he is a tommy gunn
Beating geriatric versions of Wlad and Povetkin is not that remarkable. Price damn near KOd Povetkin a few months ago.
Yes, he took some good shots today. But Wilder has the best power and most importantly stamina. But AJ has power out his own. I really want to see that fight, will be a classic chess mass.
He looked more stiff with lower hands than usual. His defense seemed a bit more uncertain. But it was really nice how he switched his offense to the unexpected jab to the body which set up the right. And the finish was impeccable. I think it was a bit of a tricky fight mentally in that Povetkin is a dangerous opponent but still everyone was already looking to the next fight. This fight just became a job to get done and Povetkin is really a too good an opponent for that mindset. I believe Joshua knew that, but still it's probably hard not to feel how everyone wants you just to get this one over in emphatic fashion to get to even more formidable challenges ahead.
He has fought 4 of the current top 10 heavyweights on Boxrec. if you take the 2017 right heavyweight list he has fought 5 of the top 10 Yes you may say the devision is **** but you can only fight the people in your era. Who else could he have foguht that would make you happy
What were you drinking ? Povetkin stumbles and engaged before the bell rang against price. you trolls have to come full stop at some point... Heres the thing ..Povetkin had a HANDFUL of top level up and comers including Dubois and Sirenko among others to prepare him at a weight of 222 pounds or so.... Joshua didn't even have the right sparring preparation for this fight....just stop. lol
The division sucks, there's no elite competition apart from Wilder, and Joshua is waiting for him to get old so he can add another past it fighter to his resume. Joshua v Wilder should of been a trilogy based on the lack of other talent in the division but we'll be lucky if they fight once at this rate.
His two best names had a combined age of 80 years old... all his other wins have been against European level opposition at best. All this whilst avoiding Wilder, leaving it a couple of years until he is mid 30s and his speed drops off.
his last 9 fights have had a combined record of 249-11-2 of the last 9, 5 have been undefeated It takes 2 to make a fight. and Wilder has ran from Pov and wont fight White and is happy fighting a boxer that a year ago had no right to ever be in a ring every again.
