AJ has to be a top 10 p4p fighter now, there's no doubt.

Actually, that's exactly what P4P is. Who has done the best in their weight or near it. Resume is everything. I don't think AJ is that skilled but at the end, all that matters is who you beat.

People have Crawford high up yet his resume is barren.

Thank god, people are actually acknowledging AJ now. He's beat 2 olympic gold medallists, and 4 previous world champions. If that isn't enough, I don't know what is.

I was worried about Joshua a few hours before the card started. And the first two rounds were scary, I've got to admit. But Povetkin proved that he is far far more skillful to Deontay Wilder. And Joshua is never going to get the credit he deserves, but I hope some people start to change their approach now. Early on he was shaky but the rest of the rounds were close. And one thing I noticed there. He changed his stance massively in comparison to his other fights. Shows he can adapt and isn't a one trick pony like some of you seem to suggest he is.

Top 5 P4P for me now. Povetkin showed he was class, and so did AJ. No excuses. He is definitely in the top 10 now, and no-one can argue otherwise. The names say it all.

    Definitely not.
Resume is one factor if it comes to P4P but one out of five, six or even ten factors.

Joshua isn't Top P4P because he has the best HW resume lol

Guys like Inoue, Rungvisai or Mikey Garcia are TOP 10 P4P fighters and all of them do not having the best possible resume in their weight classs ffs...

Five six or even ten factors? Lol. It is a comparison of who is the best for their weight. Who has done better compared to their peers in other weight classes. You can have all the skill in the world but if you have no one on your resume it means nothing. Partly why Mike Tyson is overrated even though he's my favorite fighter.

41 year old wlad, 39 year old Povetkin.

I think Joshua is pretty badA. but he needs a few more fights before ill give him p4p status. the two biggest names on his resume were clearly past their prime. and he still got rocked by both. again tho, not a slam on joshua, you can only fight the people they put in front of you.

Yea 100% top 10 p4p, just went life and death with a 40 year old guy who was 4-5 inches shorter, significantly shorter reach, and who he outweighed by almost 30 pounds.

Wilder fights a 39 year old and all the British nut swingers are all over him saying he went life and death with a 60 year old blah blah blah, but look at the two dudes their boy has had the toughest time with lol.

AJ won tonight because of his power, INSPITE of his skill or lack thereof. To them its thats ok but when Wilder does hes a joke. Clowns.

Wilder was giving up weight in that fight due to going into it with flu and Ortiz isn't a midget either, is one of the best boxers in the division coming in as a southpaw.

Exactly. And lets not forget Wilder could easily campaign as a cruiser and is standing up to punches from guys much thicker and heavier than him but AJ is all over the place like a drunk from punches from guys way smaller than him.

3 of his last 5 opponents were rated top 5 by Ring. Thats impressive. Who else is running through the top 10 of their division like Joshua is?

    No.

    It's about various factors.

    - In how many weight classes has the boxer competed?
    - How many world titles has he won in different weight classes?
    - Is he a PPV fighter?
    - Is he fighting in spectacular fashion and looking fantastic while beating his opponents?
    - of course Resume is also a factor so how was the opposition in terms of quality
    - Is he selling out big venues?
    - How is he looking against different opponents in comparison to other fighters in the same weight class
    - Age
    - ....
    - ....

Joshua is ranked between 15-20 imo, maybe Top 15 after the win now but never ever Top 10. Could name 10-12 names who are ranked above FOR SURE

Has anyone ever met a level headed Wilder fan? Wilder is 6ft 7 but could campaign at cruiserweight, I've heard it all

Still leaves him 20 pounds outside of the cruiser weight limit?

And what weight limit is he cutting down to make? At 6'7 do you know how easy it would be for him to cut and rehydrate 20 pounds? He could do that in a day. Earlier in his career ge was entering the ring BELOW 220.

He beats one or two division smaller man. Not worthy of PVP as it is.
