Why didn't AJ use klitschkos tactics?

Bad idea. AJ and Wlad are different boxers. AJ doesnt wrestle as well as Wlad did. He would be caught more times on the inside if he tried wrestling.

 

He wasn't allowed to even go there after what happened an hour or so earlier, and he knew it. Okolie-Askin didn't just stink the place out, it sent a smelly nuclear bomb onto the city of London. It was a disgrace and it would have been simply unacceptable to Joshua to follow up with a box and move, clinch snoozefest.

 

Klktschko had an ATG jab, Joshua doesn't.

Pretty simple. Joshua tried to jab, he just lacked the timing or accuracy, and paid for it numerous times via counter right hands.

 

He didn't need to. Joshua didn't rely on a single illegal clinch , bear hug or back hump to beat Povetkin.

Wlads only way of beating Povetkin was to fight like Okoile did against Askin.

 

Thank god Okolie wasn’t headlining then lol. That was such a bad fight

 

Wlads jab was a nonfactor against Povetkin.

 

Because it isn't easy and only big size isn't enough otherwise, Mariusz Wach would have won Povetkin by using Klitschkos tactics.

This. Joshua had to save the show. The other matches were awful. If Joshua would've wrestled Povetkin to an uneventful decision it would've badly hurt his brand and Dazn.

What did you think to the main fight? I know we were debating it a while back. You were backing Povetkin to win, while I thought Joshua would get the KO. Having said that, I predicted Povetkin would be defensive, but I remember you said he would come forward. I was way out on that one! Povetkin was impressive and game.

 

He would get outboxed and prob outwrestled he is a poor mans wlad, he is not skillful enough to do that.
