Should we credit AJ's body work or is it Povetkin's age?

Povetkin clearly slowed down. I thought AJ did well with his body shots from the start. Took the gas out of a Povetkin who was expending a lot of energy throwing a lot of shots. Now this tactic won't work on Wilder because Wilder is conservative and really picks his shots. I can't wait for this fight though. You know it ain't going 12.

Nah. Povetkin was still pushing the pace like he's always done, he just got clipped by one of the biggest punchers in heavyweight boxing history. He still had plenty of gas in the tank

He threw 28 punches in the 6th so no he wasn't still pushing the pace. He clearly slowed down.

Iwhat do you mean, slowed down? I interpreted it like he slowed down due to his age. In that case I would disagree

I meant he slowed down after the 5th round. He looked tired in the 6th. That's why I'm asking do we credit AJ's bodywork or is it Povetkin's age or maybe a combination of both. IMO AJ caught him cause of Povetkin gassing out a bit, he lost focus.

Oh you have to credit everything AJ was doing in there, Unless your the usual bunch on here who only like to bring up a ffighters age only when they lose like they did with GGG and now povetkin

This has nothing to do with GGG lmao. I understand what you're saying, the usual suspects are blaming "age" but you know me dren am I part of the EE fan girl club?

Nothing to do with GGG but all I've seen over the last week from the EE brigade is garbage talk about age to refrain from giving proper credit to the winning fighter.

Both. Joshua adapted to Povetkin, but I also knew that Povetkin being 39 would run out of steam eventually.

Povetkin became overly encouraged by his success and forgot to set up his work with feints and deception.

He then started leaping in and being really predictable, looking for one big punch. Thats why he got caught by a big one- his own sloppiness. However this has always been a weakness of his, you cant afford to slip up against AJ as he takes you out
