    Both beat 39 year olds

OK povetkin was a former world champ and Olympic gold with a great resume while ortiz was.... none of the above (he also wasn't 39) but still.

The difference is povetkin was just a routine win for a joshua while ortiz w8n had wilder fans in tears of joy claiming it am ATG win.

    LOL

Wider was almost derailed by a 58 year old with high blood pressure.

Pretty self explanatory, Joshua is a fighter and a boxer with a range of punches, a diverse skill set, and adaptable strategies for different fighters. Wilder is a basketball player with 1 counter right hand.

Right Ortiz was 39. Ortiz is a lot fresher than Povetkin. Anthony Joshua fans act like AJ beating a 40 year old Povetkin and 41 year old Wlad makes him a living legend. You can just look the threads here. So many AJ fans are calling him one the best heavyweights of all time because of this win. You AJ fans are delusional. The only boxing fans who are worse are Tyson Fury fans and Rocky Marciano fans.

Povetkin win is much better than Ortiz win.

    Povetkin is better than Ortiz.

Luis Ortiz - 39 years old, no Olympic medal, no titles, beat Jennings.

Povetkin - 39 years old, gold Olympic medal, former WBA champion, best resume at HW.

    Deal with it.

Povetkin totally outclassed him in the amateurs already.

I don't think Pov is better right now, he hasn't looked good in a while. Who do you think wins right now between Pov and Ortiz?

the same argument can be made against Ortiz. It a battle of 2 veterans where one has done ALOT more than the other. I would pick Povetkin, sure.

Also, didn't Povetkin school Ortiz in the amatuers?

And you haters kept the same MO! You remember, clowns saying Wilder would never face Ortiz and once the fight got signed, Ortiz is an octogenarian with a heart problem, blind in one eye, goute riddled joints with demintia.

Dummies did the same with Fury! Lame jackasses!

I don't know what happened in the amateurs, but Ortiz was probably 40 then as he is about 56 now.
