Is Joshua good for beating wlad, or is he exposed by older wlad?

Good post. Past prime Wlad and past prime Povetkin are better wins for Joshua than Wilder. But that fight will be hyped as a bigger accomplishment because Wilder is in his prime, is a peer in terms of relevance and is American. Joshua has a nice resume, and Wilder is dangerous because he can punch but the division is weak right now overall.

Yep. He admitted to faking his ankle injury for the first postponement. Claims he never stepped foot in the gym to work out from the day after he beat Wladimir until he started training for Sefe Sefer Seferi Seferianito Seferianitoanito.

Wlad bounced Wilder around like a rag doll according to multiple reports during sparring (not surprising if you watched both men fight) and he fought on even terms in his 40s against Joshua. Wlad was the real deal.

other than pure trolls who knows they are trolling, or someone who simply cant comprehend on more than a 2 year old level...NO ONE would think wlad wasnt the real deal. if that is still in question by now...certain people need to stop watching boxing. and stop reproducing.

Schooled? Usyk schooled gassiev, fury landed like 30 more punches on shot 40yo wlad than wlad did on him. Golovkin outlanded canelo by this much too. Fury stayed out of range and acted like a clown. That’s all he did. Was not a schooling is was terrible , boring fight , one of the worst hw fights.
Wlad was old and barely beat jennings before that, so no fury did not do anything soecial

That was much younger wlad, not 41yo wlad . Wlad that sparred wilder would have finished joshua within 6

Wlad >>> joshua . Mike tyson was a fraud , helost to bums , and was shot at 32 . Anyway I’m certain 35yo wlad beats joshua and 30yo tyson beats joshua too. Joshua is poor man’s wlad.

I think Povetkin was a better win than Wlad.

Wlad was clearly really past it in the Jennings win and the Tyson Fury loss, when he faced AJ. Wlad did better than anyone expected based on those 2 previous performances but was just too old.

Povetkin has shown he is still operating at a fairly high level and is not too far away from where he was in his prime. His boxing skills in the first 4 rounds were very impressive and he was dominating.

But lets be real here too. Wilder will go down in the history books as the better win. Its a win over the other belt holder (the WBC the most prestigious belt) who has defended it 7 times.

So in order of impressive wins for AJ so far its:

    1.Povetkin
    2. Wlad
    3. Parker
    4. Whyte

Thats an awesome resume even if he never faces Wilder, he already has 4 impressive wins on his record. Wilder would be the number 1 best win.

Joshua’s fight with 41yo wlad proved that wlad in his prime would have finished him . It basically proved that joshua is a poor man’s wlad

Wlad was in decent form however you want to see it, his mindset was much more confident against AJ as well than against Fury. AJ was exposed in a sense, he could be hurt and shut down etc but what shocked me was his heart, he didn't get shell shocked of froze by nearly getting taken out. That proves a hell of a lot with today's fighters, I don't expect it from these pampered phoneys. But AJ proved he won't be easily beaten. It's one of those fights where you don't want to really discredit either guy, wlad was old but proved how great he was matching the new lion, AJ proved he could beat a still dangerous older champ.

The version of Wlad AJ beat beats any other current HW at present. It was a superb win by AJ and one of the greatest HW title fights of all time.

Wlad's still the bodybuilders best win in my opinion. Parker second maybe. Povetkin got taken out similar to Whyte and Brezeale mid rounds. That's quite scary when you think about it, all 3 were tough dangerous men.

The versions of Wlad and Pov that AJ beat were quite diminished.

That said, they were also still dangerous world level operators.

    Beating them is certainly "good".
