Just now getting to the main event, that's the first time I've ever heard 80,000+ people singing Sweet Caroline at the top of their lungs. Pretty cool experience, I think that was smart of Dazn to let the US fans see what the atmosphere is like at one of these huge stadium shows. I got pretty revved up after Sweet Caroline & The Final Countdown.

I dont know what was worse or more biased, the scorecards or the commentary .

    R1-Povetkin
    R2-Povetkin
    R3-Povetkin
    R4-Joshua
    R5-Povetkin
    R6-Joshua

58-56 Povetkin at time of stoppage.
58-56 or 59-55 Joshua, who were the judges? Hearn, Smith and AJs Mum?

The commentary team of Sergio Mora & Sugar Ray Leonard has to go already. Awful, just terrible at the job. I can tolerate Brian Kenny.

Leonard is dreadful. Has to be among the worst ever, I mean it.

I'm cool with Kenny too. But sometimes he can rub me the wrong way (I guess that is not too obscure). And is he, um, "past prime" himself in that capacity yet?

Leonard never was any good at commentating, back before he won the Welterweight Championship (even a little before I believe) he had Roy Jones job for HBO. He wasn't any good at it, but he's awful now, dreadful is right. He needed some practice before just being thrown on such a huge show like that.

To be fair I was incredibly intoxicated by this point, just meant you probably weren't happy with the outcome.

    One other thing.

How is it that one man grabs and hugs another man for 12 rounds straight, neither of them landing more than 6 or 7 clean punches between them, with one far more at fault than the other, with even the ref docking him 3 points. Literally nothing to separate them except for inside work, which Askin clearly got the better of. Yet all the judges saw it close to a shutout for Okolie? That was beyond sickening to see a man robbed of his title in a match where his opponent fought such a deplorable fight he deserved to be DQ'd, that was damn near impossible to score for any sane judge. Yet they all seemed to be in agreement, weren't even dissuaded in the least by the annoyed ref clearly calling it like he sees it. Boxing really needs to find a feasible alternative to scoring fights, that avoids human error and blatant corruption..

Round 1: 10-9 Joshua (extremely close, Povetkin may very well have stole it in the last 10 seconds. Joshua has a hell of a chin)
Round 2: 10-9 Povetkin (not close, good round for Povetkin)
Round 3: 10-9 Povetkin (better from Joshua, but still a Povetkin round)

Round 4: 10-9 Povetkin (very close, could go either way AJ did good work but I felt Povetkin landed the better shots)

Round 5: 10-9 Povetkin (Joshua landed the jab well upstairs and down, Povetkin landed the big power shots)

    49-46 Povetkin after 5.
