Rate AJ's power, chin, speed, overall boxing ability from 1 to 10

Definitely a good all-rounder for me. People should note his power is due to accumulation of punches over the course of a fight, rather than a few.

 

Power 8.5 Its decent, jabs, hooks all carry an amount of venom that is going to break you down as the fight goes on.
Chin 6. He gets tagged, he wobbles but he seems to recover but if somebody is not going to let him off the hook hes in trouble.
Speed 7.5. His footwork is slow, id give that no more than a 5 but for such a big guy his hands dont move too sluggish really.
Boxing ability 7. Hes good but hes basic he isnt going to dazzle you with skills but he is basically well rounded.

 

No after last night his power is far more proven than before, Wlad couldn`t hurt Povetkin, the jabs to the body were so powerful they made Pov gas, AJ`s jab is 10/10 for power.

As good as any HW out there at the momemt IMO.

 

His jab to the head isn't the best, especially for his height and reach.

Skill 8/10 and he`s getting better under his trainer who told him to jab to the body and wear Povetkin down, that`s good IQ and the right hand followed fast as Povetkin`s hands loweree to protect his body, AJ`s combo punching is 8/10, his hands are fast.

Power: 9 - Legit big puncher, only guy to stop Povetkin, smashed Johnson like nobody else has, can turn fights around with 1 good punch.

Chin: 8 - Solid, Wlad's best punch couldn't keep him down, took hard shots of Whyte and Povetkin and stayed up.

Speed: 8 - His technique is good so his shots don't travel far and so look quick but when he was in with Wlad and Povetkin the difference in hand speed was very evident. He's reasonably quick for a big man but not exceptional.

Overall Boxing ability(skills): 7 -Offensively he's a 8 but defensively with being so stationary, no head movement he's a 6 so evens out as a 7.

I'll add another category

Ring IQ: 8 - He's calm even when struggling, doesn't panic and can make changes to turn things around or adopt another strategy. He's a relatively cerebral boxer.

 

Rubbish, he just dismantled a tough fighter who's never been stopped. They don't fall over so easily when you fight the best.
