But I'm referring to heavyweights who dominated the heavyweight division since 2000. They've all been giant SUPER HEAVYWEIGHTS. A few one off good wins mean nothing. LAmon Brewster wasn't a dominant heavyweight champion. Nor was Corrie Sanders. Wladimir Klitshcko was. Anthony Joshua is. And for a reason too! Because they are SUPER HEAVYWEIGHTS. SIZE MATTERS!
Yeah but why single out Povetkin, many guys, even legends were on PEDs in their primes. Doesn't negate those years.
Povetkin used Meldonium as a supplement prior to its banning. And why not, it was legal, anybody could use it. Big deal, Meldonium is weak sauce as a supposed "ped" anyway.
Meldonuim is about as effective as caffeine, it's only on the banned substance list because its an abused pharmaceutical, which according to WADA, goes against the spirit of sport. Put it in a soft drink and it would be 100% legal. Calling Povetkin a PEDS cheat is as dumb as claiming coca cola/coffee drinkers are on steroids.
Every HW fighter from the 1960s to the early 1990s was on steroids of some sort. Holyfield, Roy Jones, all proven to be on the roids. Lets not pretend this is a mainly clean era either. The majority of the top guys are juicing (Canelo, Tyson Fury, Femi etc..).
Yep this you'd have to be pretty naive to think otherwise when the doping tests were so poor for so long. All the recent scandals with the improvement in doping testing shows it's rife in boxing, even at the top level, Ortiz, Whyte, Povetkin, Fury etc all caught. Imagine if doping testing was truly random and 24/7 unlike now, almost everyone would likely be caught doping I'm sure.
he is unrepentant drug cheat, as he said in the fight preview earlier "they made mistake". completely unrepentant after years even, means he was part of the drug system and accepted it ingrained in him for decades.
you are replying to me BUT talking to someone else? ahahaha. Keep it in your sock, you aint noones DVD commentary. are you well?
Luis Fernando believes Povetkin wasnt convicted of the ostarine charge lol. Povetkin is not only old but he when he was in form, he was on PEDS and thats a disgrace. Drug cheats should never ever win.
21st century! If you think PED's are a disgrace in the 21st century, then you'd be amazed to learn that PED's are the norm in the modern world. Human enhancement through artificial chemicals is the common norm today and would be even more so in the foreseeable future. Get over it! Or remove yourself from society, if you are that much against human enhancement.
Sorry but it's naive to think Povetkin dopes while others don't. After all Sasha doesnt look as big and muscular as other HWs, does he? If Lance Armstrong or Alberto Contador were caught and others weren't it doesn't mean other cyclists are clean. Marion Jones is as clean as other runners, she was unluckily caught, but there are many ways to use PEDs and 'stay clean'. Some HWs look bigger than ANY pre-steroid era bodybuilders yet they are 'clean'. Sport isn't clean at the highest level, and wasn't for decades.
Why would athletes put their careers at risk taking Meldonium when they could get the same effect from a cup of coffee? Honestly one of the dumbest post i ever read. Povetkin had no condition that required him to use Meldodnium , therefore he was taking it purely for the benefits it gave him.
