Top 15 all time heavyweight sounds right. Not sure he's cracked the top 10 yet but top 15 for sure.

On track for it on paper? Sure.

Top 15 if he dies in a plane crash and never fights again? Very much not.

Who had they beaten in 22 fights?

I 'KSAB', yet you clearly have no idea who those guys were fighting during their first 22 fights.

Wlad knocking out Mercer at 40 was just as impressive as Joshua doing Povetkin at same age. Mercer had never been down in a fight, unlike Povetkin.

Gr8 KO, really timed it well, followed up for the kill. Outside of the Wilder Fiasco, AJ has met every challenge. But there is time for that, provided Wilder beats Fury.

He is a pace setter for sure-- In terms of how quickly he has won titles. His intro into the game surpasses both Klitschko's early career. With that being said I think a thread questioning which ATG's rose to the top as quickly as AJ has.

Tyson still has him, but he is impressive. At this point I'd rank him ATG Top 50. No higher than 40.
Hypothetically speaking if he beats Fury & Wilder a case could be made for top 20-30.
And that is because he's beating the best of his era, not great boxers who could do well in any era as both Fury & WIlder have done nothing to make themselves in the hunt for ATGreatness.
    Yet...

Top 15? Who thinks at this stage he would have beaten Lewis at the same age?

His best victories are Wlad and Povetkin age 42 and 39, so that's not too impressive. Lets see how he does against Wilder and some other HWs.

Maybe a top 25 ATG. Lots of guys are undefeated at 22-0. We'll see in time.

With a 41 year old nearly beating him and a 39 year old doing very well early, Joshua will need 2-3 more signature wins over guys in their prime to rate higher.

    It's hard to say

I mean right now I don't have a problem with it because he is a quality unbeaten fighter and the clear number 1 in the division.

However it's a dynamic situation, he could knock out Wilder and Fury and cast all doubts aside or he could get knocked out by them both and be considered a hypejob.

As I said, I don't have a problem with it.

I watched that fight live in AC . Wlad was very exciting technical boxer back then with very good hand speed and power .
