Very good finishing shots from AJ but forget about the biased Sky commentary team about calculated strategy etc. for the majority of the fight AJ was sloppy ! He isn’t Mayweather with his left hand by his waist , tactics like that against A right hand merchant like Wilder would be suicide .
There was a clear Wilder call out. He said Wilder next, no 2,3. Just Wilder that’s it. How clear can you be?
Hearn “let’s see if fury wilder even happens. No venue, I didn’t even know you can sign a contract without a venue”
Listen I'm not praising Wilder for beating Ortiz mostly because of his age...though he does probably deserve a little praise as Ortiz is a decent fighter who I was betting was going to smoke Wilder when they fought...all I'm saying is a young supposedly elite heavyweight like Joshua shouldn't have had the troubles he did in this fight at this stage in Povetkin's career. Joshua is slow and lumbering. Slower than old man Ortiz who is quite a good counterpuncher. So make of that what you will. Right now I'm thinking Joshua is behind Wilder and Ortiz.
AJ looked poor and was lucky Povetkin started to tire but...he could’ve done a Klitschko and mauled his way to an easy win and didn’t...he wanted to win the right way and got the job done in the end...povetkin’s face was a mess... Well done Povetkin though, didn’t just turn up for the pay check...gave it a go...if only he was about 10 years younger... Thank god Fury beat Klitschko as well...the end of themauling era...
I think Joshua was holding his left hand low on purpose. Bet he won't do that against Wilder if Wilder beats Fury
How does this make any sense. 'Joshua is slow and lumbering. Slower than old man Ortiz.' Wilders only stellar win is Ortiz. Give the man some credit regardless of who you think would win out of Wilder and Joshua. This was a solid win and arguably a better win than any of Wilder's W's. Not to mention the fact that this win is probably only Joshua's 3rd best W.
That was aimed at Finkel as Finkel said he sent a contract to wilder which had no venue so couldn't be signed.
