Is Joshua good for beating wlad, or is he exposed by older wlad?

something like 100 or so punches from each fighter over 12 rounds iirc
And the it gets passed off as emphatic
    vlad had family issues also

remember when fury was meant to fight ustinov and his family problems what happened next ummmm

Wlad was a good victory for Joshua, but he was visibly declined by age 41. His speed and reflexes were gone. Even in Pulev fight he started to look like ****, around 37.

Why do you feel so triggered by what I wrote sweetheart? I just wrote what I wrote for ambiguous means.
, there are a bunch of guys who support that dumb argument.
Plus the Hoff hated communism and does commercials for Harrahs Casino here in Funner California.

Wlad was 41, Povetkin was 39. I'm assuming that's what you meant of course. Truth is... Joshua and Wilder are in a transitional period for the HW division and the other top fighters just happen to be old as ****. So their being on top has as much to do with timing(probably more) as their ability (especially in the case of Wilder) Joshua can't receive much flack because he's done everything expected for an elite fighter - If he gets past Wilder he'll probably have a long untouched reign similar to the Klitschkos or Lewis with maybe the odd bump in the road along the way....

However with that being said neither are as good as the Klitschkos were, not even close. Anyone who says otherwise is a deluded hater.

I think Wlad's last two fights have been subject to a lot of story telling from many sides

    Fury

Fury Fans: want to say its a great upset, he was a huge underdog, no writing on the wall to signal Wlad was over the hill, he dominated, won a landslide etc

Joshua fans: Wlad was unmotivated and psyched out from the baby being born and Fury's antics and maybe got complacent. Also Fury only landed a handful of shots every rounds and Wlad was worse, signalling this was more about Wlad having an off night

Wlad Fans: the same as Joshua fans except they said Fury ducked the rematch and motivated Wlad of Joshua fight beats Fury who probably doesnt retain that same form

    Joshua

Fury fans: Fury won more rounds, was never in danger, never went down, beat a younger Wlad who didnt have a big lay off

Joshua fans: Wlad was in better condition, better prepared, took the fight more seriously, he knocked Wlad out didnt win a boring decision

Wlad fans: reaffirm their belief in Fury being a fluke and cite this performance

I guess you have to ask yourself what form was Klitschko really in for both fights and how much do you weigh that vs the performances of each fighter that beat him

I myself had Wlad lose to Fury with the same score as the judges either 115-112 or 116-111 and without the point deduction 116-112 or 117-111 which are very comprehensive victories. Wlad clearly wasnt prime and didnt look great vs Jennings. Fury did just enough to eek rounds kind of like Taylor vs Hopkins, Wlad jsut never seemed to take much of a chance until the way end of the fight and had a very good 12th round. Fury was never in any real danger

Against Joshua I thought the fight was similar to the Fury fight. I had Joshua bank the first 4 (never rewatched I always rewatch the fight from the 5th when the fireworks start) and Wlad seemed nervous about letting his hands go. In round 5 he rushed Wlad and Wlad went down and looked done but he dug in and hurt Joshua and nearly had him and then Joshua hadnt really recovered and Wald dropped him but Wlad elected to box thinking he could win on the cards vs a subdued Joshua and paid. Joshua's youth seemed to gain him a second wind and he stormed Wlad after weathering the onslaught of rounds and ended the fight. To me it seemed that Joshua if he could keep his conditioning could bulldoze through Wlad whenever he elected to but couldnt maintain. Wlad in my opinion became a worse finisher after Steward died and I really think he ends this fight and the Povetkin fight with Steward in his corner. Wlad got so predictable when he had Joshua hurt he just lined up and swung a lunging left hook and every time he missed he wound up over top of Joshua in a clinch and that helped him survive

I think the fight showed that Joshua like Wlad with that build cannot sustain offense with tough exchanges for long without gassing and I think Joshua is going to be very safe with his approach and we saw that in his last few fights. I think Joshua would take what he saw in the 5th and possibly get to Wlad sooner in the rematch but not gas and get caught.

I dont think it was an exposure as much as it was a learning experience given he came back and won

When Joshua beat Wlad, it showed that he belongs on the tier below the K bros and he has since done nothing to disprove that.

The people on this site will read that as slander against Joshua. It actually isn't.

Almost getting knocked out by a 41 year old, inactive Wlad proves that he's worse than a peak Wlad. Correct.

both guys refused to fight, then fury ran for his life from the contracted, career high payday rematch.

He was exposed by older Wlad.

Imagine Kovalev going life and death with old Bernard Hopkins, Joshua went life and death with old Wlad. Pfffff
