I'm not convinced that AJ easily beats Louis or Liston anymore

This. Joshua's still green. He's only 22 fights in and needs more experience. Povetkin even in his prime wouldn't rank in the top 10 in the late 30's to early 40's heavyweight division. Povetkin would rank in the late 50's early 60's, but he'd reach Chuvalo level at best, which is good enough to compete, but not good enough to become champ.

An old and past prime Povetkin was landing way to many counter rights over Joshua's jab. That would get Joshua killed against Louis, who was a master at the counter right, but unlike Povetkin or even Wlad Louis was master at combination punching and chopped down several guys that were Joshua's size, but were more proven in the ring than Joshua.

Liston's jab would rip Joshua to pieces. Liston ate big slow guys like Joshua for breakfast. It was the fast versatile guys that could punch that gave him problems.

Theres ZERO guys who moved like Usyk and at southpaw.

It would prove nothing how Usyk does unless you have a 6'3 220 pounder to compare with.

Usyk is a southpaw with amateur experience at the top that is probably unmatched by any heavyweight of the past. Being a southpaw and having the kind of amateur experience he has makes him different. He has already faced and beaten heavyweights like Nistor, Medzehedov, Joyce, and Fa to name a few. The top of the amateur world is a place where the competition is probably tougher than the pro ranks. To win a tournament, a fighter can't pick his opponents. The fighter has to fight what is in front of him, often while injured and tired. Usyk has been fighting some of the toughest competition in the world for years, and if he beats Joshua or Wilder it would be no surprise.

As a 6-3, 215 pound, fast, southpaw, with the kind of experience he has, success by him in the heavyweight division would tell us little about fighters who came before him.

AJ has no chin, no technique, no hand speed, and no stamina. Any half way decent heavyweight who wasn't pusing 50 could beat him. The casual fans love to talk about his height or weight like no fighter before him was his size. Most fighters for years tried to come into the ring in shape. You would see a guy like Holmes for example who was 6'3 come into the ring at 205. Larry Holmes past his prime weighed 250 and still was able to compete with young guys like Oliver McCall. You know the same McCall who blasted Lewis away with 1 punch. Yet his power had no real affect against a old Larry Holmes. So if Larry Holmes would weigh 250 past his prime are you telling me he and others from the 70s couldn't come into the ring with man breast like Jarrell Miler and Tyson Fury? Adding weight won't help your chin and will make your stamina worse.

Absolutely insane judgement, just by watching fight footage of the two I can tell Liston would beat him. Liston was a monster and a top 5 puncher of all time

Liston needed to be the bully to be effective that even Ali at a sub 210 pound weight non power puncher at 6'3 defeated Liston ..though slightly past his best years..

Joshua has 5 inches on him and 30 pounds plus, is faster ,stronger and smarter....compared to a late starter vs an Olympic champion

Are you sure my judgement is the insane one here ?

Ali weighed 210lbs. Weight means absolutely nothing, it's Muhammad Ali. He was even with Ali in the first fight until he tore his shoulder, and he lost the second one in what is widely considered a dive

Joshua doesn't hit as hard, doesn't have the experience, and doesn't have the chin that Liston did. Liston also has a reach advantage, if that's all you really care about

Who in the world did Povetkin beat even in his prime?

    Alexander Povetkin (34-2)

    Elite Fighters

A shot Chris Byrd, who was a elite at one time, but had been shot for 4-5 years and was 37 years old when Povetkin beat him.

Hasim Rahman, he was a hot and cold fighter, but was over 10 years past prime and 40 years old when Povetkin beat him.

    Good Fighters

    Marco Huck
    Eddie Chambers
    Ruslan Chagaev

    Good, but not championship material

Johann Duhaupas - No notice and Duhaupas was over 20 lbs heavier than his normal weight.

Carlos Takam - Has a fairly good skill-set, but has no punching power and a mediocre chin.

    Sonny Liston (50-4)

    Elite Fighters

    Floyd Patterson

    Good Fighters

    Zora Folley
    Cleveland Williams x2
    Eddie Machen
    Chuck Wepner
    Gerhard Zech

    Nino Valdes - Past prime

    Burt Whitehurst - Past prime

Liston lost to a 175 pounder who broke his jaw, when did Povetkin do this?

Povetkin himself is bigger then Liston physically beyond arm length...hes a refined Olympic gold medalist...he would be to mentally strong for Liston who even quit in sparring when matches got tough when he was outsized at times

In short ,Povetkin has every advantage including power beyond the jab and most importantly CHIN....It is also a known fact Liston did not like getting hit in the body, povetkins body shots would severly hurt Liston.

liston would fold against the better tougher Russian, though the first few rounds would be entertaining.
