How does 6'9" 250lb Fury have such weak punches?

How many cruiserweights have dropped AJ?

 

I think it’s a bit of a myth. He’s not as explosive and deadly as say Wilder or Joshua but Dave Allen (who’s sparred everyone) has said many times that Fury does hit hard.

The consensus seems to be that with him it’s the cumulative effect of his punches. Look at what he did to Chisora - and Chisora is a tough guy.

 

Fury has stopped Hammer, stopped Chisora, stopped Cunningham.....something neither Povetkin, Whyte or Mansour could do.....he punched hard enough and anybody thinking AJ or Wilder will just walk through them have got their blinkers on.

 

Who got dropped by the Klit right hand?? Getting dropped means you have a bad chin?? Froch got dropped by Groves, that mean he is chinny!! Pfft!

 

He is a scientific boxer who does not set down on his punches. He isn't trying to knock the other guy out, but to hit and not be hit.

 

He's got terrific movement for such a big fella, but you need to be fit to box on the outside like that. I just hope he arrives fit enough when he meets up with one of the main men. Lack of fitness would kill his movement then he's in trouble.

 

Fury is weak for his size... he ain't knocking anyone "spark out"

At least PRICE is strong at same dimensions.

part of his defense is throwing shorter punches, which means he might not get the knockouts but he can think more defensively.

 

If he stood down on his punches and planted his feet, he would probably hit a lot harder. He is always on the move throwing from the shoulders.

 

No shame in getting dropped by the monstrous punching Wlad. Getting dropped by a cruiserweight though...
